Transforming Homes with Reliable Power

At 3 Guys Electric & Insulation, we take immense pride in enhancing the safety and functionality of homes throughout Houston and beyond. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a customer in Sugar Land who needed essential electrical upgrades for their home. When Sharon B. contacted us, she expressed her concerns regarding power outages and her desire for a reliable way to manage her portable generator effectively.

The Challenge

Sharon's home was not equipped to handle a portable generator, which can pose significant risks during unexpected power outages. She wanted to ensure her family could maintain comfort and safety by running essential appliances like the air conditioning system during outages. Thus, she reached out to us, seeking not just any electrician, but one who excelled in generator inlet installations.

Our Solution

Recognizing the urgency of her request, we assigned our expert electrician, Luis, who came highly recommended. Upon arriving at Sharon's home, we quickly assessed her needs. Our team set to work installing a generator inlet, which would allow her to safely connect the portable generator to her home’s electrical system.

In addition to the generator inlet installation, we enhanced her home’s electrical system in several ways:

• Installed an additional electrical sub panel to manage the increased load safely.
• Added a home surge protector to guard against power spikes.
• Implemented a soft start system for the air conditioning compressor to increase efficiency and prolong its lifespan.

These upgrades are crucial in ensuring that Sharon's home remained functional and safe during power disruptions.

The Results

We worked diligently, completing the entire project within approximately 4 to 5 hours. Sharon was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness displayed throughout the process, highlighting Luis's ability to answer her numerous questions promptly.

She shared her thoughts after the project was completed:

"I was extremely impressed with Luis' professionalism, responsiveness, and value for the work being done. Once he came out, we were very happy with his excellent installation and he explained everything to us about how to properly use the generator inlet once the job was completed." --- Homeowner

The transformation was complete, and Sharon's home was now equipped with reliable power solutions that would serve her family well in future outages.
