Silver Spring Door Repair: Before and After

When a door sticks or fails to latch, it can quickly become frustrating and inconvenient. A customer in Silver Spring, MD, contacted our team about a back door that was catching in the upper-right corner and two bedroom doors that were not latching properly.

Before: Sticking and Misaligned Doors

The back porch door was difficult to operate because it was rubbing near the upper-right corner. Inside the home, two bedroom doors were also failing to latch correctly, making it difficult to close them securely.

We began by examining how each door moved, checking the contact points, hardware, and surrounding areas. Rather than making assumptions, we took time to identify the likely causes and explain what we found.

Our Door Repair Process

We evaluated the back door and bedroom doors individually because each issue can have a different source. Depending on the door, problems may relate to alignment, shifting components, hardware, or pressure along the frame.

Our team walked the customer through the issues and discussed practical solutions before completing the necessary adjustments and repairs. We focused on restoring smooth operation while keeping the customer informed throughout the process.

After: Smoother Operation and Better Latching

After our work, the back door operated more smoothly without the same sticking point, and the bedroom doors latched properly. The customer also had a clearer understanding of the problems and potential solutions.
