Transforming a Yard in Redmond

At AV Landscaping LLC, we pride ourselves on our ability to transform outdoor spaces into stunning environments that enhance both beauty and functionality. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a homeowner in Redmond, who reached out to us through Yelp to help with several yard work projects at their newly purchased home.

Before: A Yard in Distress

The initial state of the yard presented some significant challenges. The homeowner, Wade H., had just moved into their new residence and was keen on improving the outdoor areas. They were particularly concerned about intrusive bamboo that was encroaching upon the neighbor's lawn and other overgrowth, including ivy that had infiltrated the fence line. This situation not only detracted from the aesthetic appeal of the property but posed potential issues with neighbors and property upkeep.

Wade described their frustration with other landscapers, stating that two companies had either canceled their appointments or suggested doing assessments via pictures, which did not address the concerns adequately. They needed a reliable team to assess the situation in person and provide practical solutions.

The Transformation Process

Upon receiving Wade's inquiry, our team, led by our owner Kevin, promptly scheduled an on-site assessment. We took the time to discuss all of the homeowner's concerns openly and honestly, and we formulated a comprehensive plan for the yard's transformation. Our approach included:

1. Immediate Assessment: Conducting a thorough review of the yard's state, identifying problem areas such as the invasive bamboo and the ivy.
2. Competitive Estimations: Providing a detailed, competitive quote for the necessary work, allowing Wade to feel confident in choosing us over larger companies.
3. Expert Execution: Being proactive and efficient, we began work, including the physical removal of the bamboo and ivy, along with other landscaping enhancements.

The team worked diligently to complete the project in less than a week, ensuring minimal disruption to Wade's new home life.

After: A Beautiful, Functional Transformation

The results of our efforts were impressive. Wade's yard was not only cleared of invasive plants, but we also created a more open and inviting space for relaxation and future gardening projects. The landscape was revitalized, showcasing a neat, clean environment that complemented the home beautifully.

Upon completion, Wade shared their thoughts on the project:

"I used the Yelp project feature to find a landscaper who would help me with yard work projects for a home I just purchased in Redmond. That's how I came to meet Kevin, the owner of AKT Landscaping. He was very quick to respond to my project inquiry and immediately scheduled an in-person assessment. Note that 2 of the other landscaping referrals I received either canceled morning of the assessment or wanted to do the assessment via pictures? Kevin was open and honest with his assessment, especially the bamboo removal that was invading into my neighbors lawn. He also showed me ivy that had infiltrated another section of my fence and highly recommended that it be removed. We discussed timeline and quickly offered an estimate that was very competitive compared to bids I received from larger landscaping companies. AKT finished the project in under a week, but what I valued most was that Kevin communicated frequently and was a pleasure to work with. I will certainly be calling AKT again for special project work around my property. I certainly need to install planter bed in the future!" --- Homeowner
