Jose was fantastic throughout the entire process — great communication, professional, and very knowledgeable. The plumbers who performed the work — Jovanni, Nelson, and Jesus — were outstanding! They worked quickly and efficiently, were extremely respectful, and did high-quality work.

Fair pricing, great service, and an overall excellent experience. I’d absolutely hire Charlie’s Sewer & Drain again and highly recommend them.

Charlie’s Sewer & Drain came through for me when I really needed help. I was dealing with a backed up drain that was getting worse by the hour, and they responded way faster than I expected.

The technician showed up on time, took a look, and explained exactly what was going on in a way that actually made sense. No pressure, no upselling, just straight honesty. You could tell right away they knew what they were doing.

They got the problem fixed quickly and made sure everything was clean before leaving. Pricing was fair, especially considering how stressful the situation was.

It’s hard to find companies that are this reliable and professional anymore. I would definitely call Charlie’s again and recommend them to anyone dealing with sewer or drain issues.

Really wanted to have a good experience with this company, as a friend of mine suggested I call them first before going back to my usual plumbing company through our condo association.

So I called Charlie’s, and got a kind young woman who said she was the service manager; asked her what the pricing was for fixing a garbage disposal that was not terribly broken, and based on my experience as a homeowner of 25 years did not need replacing, but simply removing an item that might be stuck or perhaps tightening of the blade apparatus.

The reasons for a “repair“ versus flat out replacing it are many, but as a homeowner generally they’ve been either something lodged between the blades that’s keeping it from working properly, one of the blades being slightly broken or bent, or one of the bolts loosening up on the blades.

As I’ve been through this before, just wanted to get an idea of what they charge for a straightforward repair that likely does not require replacing the entire apparatus.

The service manager promised to get back to me “within an hour” and said she would put out a request to her different technicians “out in the field“.

Oddly, apparently there’s no Owner or Manager who could’ve answered this?
Or perhaps the owner is one of the technicians out in the field?

Either way, four hours went by, without even a courtesy call, saying that they were still working on it.

Meanwhile, another plumbing company, MR. PIPE based out of Sherman Oaks, not only got back to me, but offered to stop by and take a look, and repaired it on the spot.

He charged me $50 for the last minute call, tightening a bolt and removing a lemon peel that had lodged between the blades.

I called Charle’s back four hours after I initially called them, and the gal I spoke to was aware that I was awaiting a quote, but apparently didn’t think it was important to have gotten back to me knowing If been waiting for the 4+ hours. She said she had the information for me, and it would be approx $189.

So: not only did they not call to follow up to say they were running behind on their promised quote, but they then had the quote and didn’t bother to call me, and then came in $150 more expensive as an estimate.
(I realize it’s important for companies to cover their bases and not under “, but they could’ve said something if it was a simple repair. It would likely be under 100, and if it was more complex and required more time, it would be over 100 etc.)

Highly recommend you call Mr. Pipe and not this company, as they seemed to be perhaps understaffed, under trained, or just not strong with common customer service protocols like returning calls or having a manager who can answer straightforward questions.

Charlie was very professional and thorough in assessing our situation and providing an estimate. He was onsite multiple times during the work and was great about answering questions or addressing concerns. Javi and the crew did an excellent job. They were very friendly and the fact that I could hear them laughing while working let me know that they must work for a good company! They put everything back where it went once they were finished, so now you can't even tell half my yard was dug up.

Communicated when running late and Fernando snaked the drain for free. Can’t beat that.
