Transforming Electrical Safety

When we received a call from a concerned homeowner, they were in the midst of a remodel that had taken a wrong turn. Their contractor had neglected to use a licensed electrician, leading to a myriad of electrical problems in their home. With troubled uncertainty, they reached out to us at DG Energy Electric for expert help.

The Challenge: A Hazardous Situation

Upon our initial inspection, it became abundantly clear just how dire the situation was. The homeowner needed to rewire two bathrooms and a kitchen, and it was alarming to discover that:

• Grounding was absent.
• GFI outlets were improperly installed and failed to trip when needed, presenting an enormous safety hazard.

These sorts of issues can be more than just inconvenient; they can be dangerous. We understood the urgency, so our commitment was not just to fix these problems, but to ensure everything complied with safety regulations and building codes.

Our Solution: Comprehensive Rewiring

Our team sprang into action, ready to take on the challenge. Here’s what we did:

1. Thorough Assessment: We examined the entire electrical system to identify all unsafe installations and deficiencies.

2. Grounding Installation: We ensured every outlet was properly grounded, drastically improving the system's safety.

3. Correcting GFI Installations: Each GFI outlet was reinstalled according to code requirements to ensure they would trip at the right times, protecting the family from electrical shocks.

4. Obtaining Permits: Understanding that regulatory compliance was paramount, we took care of the necessary permits, demystifying the often confusing process for the homeowners.

Throughout the project, we maintained clear and open communication, frequently updating the homeowner on our progress and explaining each step we took. We believe in empowering our clients with knowledge about their electrical systems, so they can feel confident in the improvements being made in their homes.

The Result: A Safe and Comfortable Home

Once we completed the rewiring, the transformation was remarkable. The owners expressed immense relief and gratitude, stating:

"David saved our remodel! ... He made sure that things would be done correctly and he went above and beyond to fix our forever home! You can tell he puts a great deal of pride in his work and he knows what he's doing." --- Homeowner

This culminated in a beautifully functional kitchen and bathrooms, free from the hazards they had previously faced.
