Electrical Upgrade in a 1905 Home

At Evergreen Construction Group, we pride ourselves on breathing new life into homes while ensuring they meet modern safety standards. Recently, we had the pleasure of working on a remarkable project involving a historic 1905 home where we replaced outdated knob and tube wiring. Our clients, Ashley and her family, reached out to us with concerns about their old electrical system and sought our expertise to provide a safe and reliable solution.

The Challenges We Faced

The primary challenge presented by this charming older home was its antiquated electrical system, which posed safety risks and limited functionality. Ashley and her family wanted to preserve the home's character while upgrading the electrical work to support modern electrical needs. They were particularly concerned about maintaining the integrity of their walls and ensuring that the project was completed efficiently and neatly.

Our Approach to the Transformation

Once we assessed the situation, our team, led by experienced electricians Dylan and Jason, devised a detailed plan to replace the knob and tube wiring. Here’s how we approached the project:

1. Thorough Assessment: We conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the entire electrical system to identify areas requiring attention.
2. Planning: Collaborating closely with Ashley, we discussed optimal light placement and switch options, ensuring the final design matched their preferences.
3. Respectful Execution: Our team focused on minimizing disturbance to the existing structure. We took great care to work within the walls carefully and cleaned up at the end of each day to keep the home tidy.
4. Quality Craftsmanship: Utilizing the best techniques and materials available, we replaced the outdated wiring with new, safer, and more efficient systems.

Throughout this process, communication was key. We made sure to keep Ashley informed and involved, which made the entire experience enjoyable for everyone.

The Exciting Results

After our team completed the project, Ashley shared her excitement about the transformation. She was not only thrilled with the upgraded electrical system but also appreciated the professionalism and care shown by our crew:

"I never thought replacing the electrical in our home could be so exciting but we are thrilled with what they’ve done for us! I had several bids for this work and I am so glad I selected Evergreen Construction. The quality of their work for the value is unmatched!
