Transforming Decks: A Stunning Renewal

At Handy M&N, we take pride in enhancing outdoor living spaces, and this project was no exception. Recently, we had the pleasure of working on a deck revitalization for one of our valued customers, Cynthia Parnell, in Charlotte, NC. From power washing to staining, our team turned a neglected deck into a beautiful outdoor retreat.

The Challenge: A Worn and Weathered Deck

When Cynthia contacted us, her deck had seen better days. Years of wear and tear had left it looking faded and uninviting. Not only did it require a thorough cleaning, but it also needed a fresh stain to protect it from the elements and restore its aesthetic appeal. Cynthia also wanted some interior walls painted, adding to the scope of the work.

Cynthia shared her concerns:

"We hired Handy Andy Services to power wash and stain our deck and paint interior walls. Rodney was prompt in responding to all correspondence and very resourceful in decision-making." --- Homeowner

Our Approach: Attention to Detail

Understanding Cynthia's needs, we scheduled a consultation to discuss the project scope and provide her with insights on the best techniques and materials to achieve the desired outcome.

Power Washing the Deck

Our first step was to power wash the deck thoroughly. This process removed dirt, grime, and old, peeling paint, revealing the raw beauty of the wood beneath. Our team took great care during this phase, ensuring that the washing was done evenly to avoid damage to the wood.

Staining for Protection and Beauty

Once the deck was clean, we applied a high-quality wood stain designed to withstand the harsh conditions of North Carolina weather. Our choice of stain not only enhanced the grain of the wood but also added a protective layer that would keep the deck looking vibrant for years to come.

Interior Painting

Alongside the deck work, we also painted the interior walls of Cynthia's home. Our meticulous prep work ensured clean lines and a flawless finish, highlighting our commitment to quality. As Cynthia mentioned, “We were very pleased with the time taken to carefully prep the painted surfaces and clean up after the job was completed.”

The Results: A Beautiful Outdoor Space

The transformation of the deck was striking. What was once a dull, neglected area was now a welcoming space that Cynthia and her family could enjoy. Our team’s attention to detail during every step resulted in a finished product that exceeded Cynthia’s expectations.

Cynthia's feedback on our service:

"We highly recommend Rodney and his team. We will be working with Rodney in the future to paint the exterior of our home." --- Homeowner
