Transforming a Front Yard into a Xeriscape Oasis

At Iconic Landscaping LLC, we are always eager to take on the exciting challenges that come our way. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a wonderful client, Don Zdeba, who approached us with a critical need – to revitalize the front landscape of their newly purchased home in Auburn, WA. Their front yard had not seen any maintenance for nearly a year, resulting in what they described as a "weed garden." It was clear that they needed our expertise to turn this neglected space into a vibrant xeriscape.

Understanding Our Client's Needs

When we first met Don, he expressed his desire to transform the overgrown area and introduce a more sustainable landscape design that required less water. He specifically wanted to convert the entire space to a xeriscape. Moreover, the area between the sidewalk and the street was also in need of an upgrade. We loved the challenge and commitment to sustainability that Don presented, so we quickly got to work.

The Transformation Process

Incorporating our expertise and the latest landscaping techniques, we focused on a few crucial steps:

1. Initial Assessment: We evaluated the existing landscape to determine the best approach for eliminating weeds and preparing the soil.
2. Design Planning: Listening closely to Don's ideas, we crafted a design that would not only fit his vision but also incorporate native plants that thrive in our climate.
3. Quick Turnaround: Don reached out to several contractors, but we were proud to respond promptly. Our owner, Sherry, was at his door the very next day. Despite it being late in the season and temperatures dropping, our team was able to prioritize his project and schedule it swiftly to ensure its completion before winter.
4. Implementation: With care and dedication, our crew began the transformation. We carefully removed the weeds, enriched the soil, and planted drought-resistant plants that would enhance both the beauty and sustainability of the yard.

Stunning After Results

The transformation was nothing short of dramatic. Once overrun with weeds, the front yard is now a stunning xeriscape oasis that serves as an attractive welcome to the home. Not only did we succeed in beautifying the landscape, but all plantings survived the winter thanks to our meticulous installation.

"Our experience with Sherry and her crew has been nothing short of wonderful. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your landscaping needs."
– Don Zdeba --- Homeowner

Based on his satisfaction with the front yard transformation, Don has since contacted us to tackle a major upgrade in his backyard, demonstrating his confidence in our work and dedication to exceptional service.
