Transforming Outdoor Spaces in Austin

At JJ Luxury Scapes and Design LLC, we're incredibly proud of the landscaping projects we undertake, and each one tells its own unique story. Recently, we had the honor of working with Paul K. on a stunning transformation of his outdoor space. Here's a look at the journey we took together, the challenges we faced, and the beautiful results we achieved.

Before: A Lackluster Outdoor Space

When Paul first contacted us, he had specific challenges that needed addressing in his backyard and a rental property he acquired. The area suffered from an outdated privacy fence, overgrown and unwanted trees, and a general lack of plant life that made the space feel dull and uninviting. Over the years, debris had accumulated, and there were even dead plants that needed to go. Additionally, poorly draining areas led to frustrating ponding issues, making the yard less functional and enjoyable.

Our Approach: Comprehensive Landscaping Services

Our team quickly got to work, devising a solution tailored to meet Paul's needs. We broke down the project into several key steps:

1. Fencing Renewal: We removed the 26-year-old privacy fence and installed a brand new one, which we also stained for enhanced durability and aesthetic appeal.

2. Tree and Plant Management: We cleared out the trash trees that lined the fence and in the flower beds, eliminated dead plants, and assisted in planting new, vibrant flowers that would breathe life into the space.

3. Irrigation Systems: To ensure that all plants thrived, we installed a drip irrigation system, alongside an automatic sprinkler system for both the front and back yards, allowing for efficient watering and maintenance.

4. Drainage Solutions: To tackle the ponding problem, we dug a French drain that effectively diverted water away from the impacted areas, ensuring a dry and usable backyard.

5. Clearance at the Rental Property: At Paul's rental property, we cleared a significant half-acre yard of debris and foliage that had overgrown for a decade. Our team trimmed multiple large oak trees and enhanced a flower bed with several new plants that would provide character and beauty.

After: A Lush and Inviting Retreat

The transformation of Paul’s outdoor space was remarkable. The new fence provided the privacy he sought, while the new trees and plants introduced color and vibrancy. The efficient irrigation system ensured that everything was well-watered with minimal effort, and the French drain solved the ponding issues effectively.

Paul expressed his satisfaction with our work, stating:

"José provided us with a wide range of services over a period of several months... I will use José again in the future and I highly recommend him." --- Homeowner

This feedback truly captures the dedication and effort our team puts into each project, ensuring that everything not only looks great, but functions well for our clients.
