Transforming Popcorn Ceilings: A Stunning Makeover

At Justin Painting & Drywall LLC, we take immense pride in our ability to enhance and rejuvenate homes across Durham, Raleigh, and Cary. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a wonderful client, Aboli G., who reached out to us with a specific challenge: the removal of popcorn ceilings from her first floor and two-story foyer.

The Challenge

Aboli and her husband had previously attempted to tackle the popcorn ceiling removal on their own in a smaller room, and the process had proven to be incredibly time-consuming and labor-intensive. They reached out to us with a goal to not only remove the popcorn texture but also ensure a clean and polished result in a reasonable timeframe. The foyer presented its own unique difficulties due to its height, which added another layer of complexity to the project.

Our Approach

From the moment our team started, we prioritized a seamless process. Over the course of four days, we executed a comprehensive plan that included:

1. Popcorn Ceiling Removal: We first removed the unsightly popcorn texture carefully.
2. Patching and Sanding: Following the removal, we patched up any imperfections and sanded the ceiling to a smooth finish.
3. Painting: Lastly, we painted the ceiling with a fresh coat that brightened the entire area.

Throughout the project, we maintained a clean workspace, something that can often be a daunting task in messy renovations. As Aboli pointed out in her review, our team showed a commitment to cleanliness that ensured they had little to no disruption once we were finished.

The Result

By the end of the project, Aboli and her husband were thrilled with the transformation. What took them a month in their smaller room, we efficiently accomplished in just four days for 1,000 square feet of space. The two-story foyer, once dominated by heavy, textured ceilings, was now open and inviting, boasting a fresh and modern look.

“The whole project took them 4 days...Their estimate was reasonable and the team of workers were professional, timely, and very clearly hard working. I would definitely hire them again for a future job.” - Aboli G. --- Homeowner
