Chimney Sweep & Dryer Vent Cleaning: A Quick Turnaround in the DC Metro Area
When a homeowner in the DC Metro Area reached out to us at Belen+ Services about their chimney and dryer vent, they weren't sure what to expect. What they got was a next-day appointment, a fair price, and two systems running the way they should. That's exactly the kind of job we love.
The Problem: Two Systems That Needed Attention
Chimneys and dryer vents are two of the most overlooked parts of a home — until something goes wrong. A chimney that hasn't been cleaned in a while can accumulate creosote buildup, debris, and blockages that make it unsafe to use. A clogged dryer vent is more than just an inconvenience; it's a genuine fire hazard and causes your dryer to work harder than it needs to, shortening its lifespan and hiking up your energy bills.
This homeowner knew it was time to get both taken care of, and they made the right call reaching out to us.
What We Did
Our team arrived promptly for the next-day appointment and got straight to work on both systems:
Chimney Sweep:
- Inspected the flue for buildup, obstructions, and damage
- Performed a thorough chimney sweep to remove creosote and debris
- Confirmed the chimney was clear and safe for use
Dryer Vent Cleaning:
- Disconnected and inspected the dryer vent line
- Cleared out lint accumulation and any blockages throughout the duct
- Verified proper airflow and reconnected everything securely
Both services were completed in a single visit — efficient, tidy, and with no surprises on the bill.
The Results
After our visit, both the chimney and the dryer vent were fully operational. The homeowner could use their fireplace with confidence and their dryer was back to running efficiently. No lingering concerns, no follow-up calls needed.
