Transforming HVAC Efficiency in San Antonio

At Stay Cool Air Conditioning & Heating, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional HVAC services to our valued customers in San Antonio. When Sean D. reached out to us in July 2025, he was experiencing ongoing issues with his air conditioning system. Recognizing that air conditioning is vital for comfort in Texas summers, Sean needed a reliable solution and trusted us to restore his home’s cooling effectiveness.

The Challenge: Intermittent Cooling Issues

Sean’s troubles began when he noticed his air conditioning unit cooling sporadically. Initial diagnoses revealed wiring issues and drainage challenges, causing significant discomfort, especially during sweltering nights. Recognizing the urgency, Sean contacted our team, and we promptly sent Dion to assess the situation.

As Dion arrived, he meticulously investigated the problem, discovering frayed wiring connections within the outdoor unit. This was not only obstructing full cooling efficiency but could potentially lead to further complications. With our commitment to thorough service, Dion addressed the wiring issues and ensured that the home was cooling adequately before leaving that evening.

“Dion did lots of troubleshooting and found some fires inside the outside AC unit that looked to be frayed and not making contact all the time... When he left late, the house was cooling down and we were able to go to sleep.” — Sean D. --- Homeowner

Comprehensive Repairs and Upgrades

Over the next several weeks, our dedicated team returned multiple times to ensure that every aspect of Sean’s HVAC system was functioning properly. Here’s a summary of what we accomplished:

1. Installed a UV Light: Dion expertly installed a UV light to enhance air quality by reducing microbial growth inside the unit.
2. Replaced Faulty Wiring: After extensive troubleshooting, we identified and replaced a faulty 240 wire connecting the inside and outside units to ensure reliable operation.
3. Drainage Solutions: Our technician, Tony, corrected a water drainage issue that arose due to improper installation, facilitating optimal airflow and preventing leaks.

Sean expressed his satisfaction with the comprehensive solutions we provided, continuously praising the professionalism and expertise of our technicians. We made it a point to thoroughly communicate every step of the process, which helped Sean feel secure about the work being performed on his HVAC system.

“Dion was very professional, cordial, explained how everything worked, and did a great job with install and cleanup,” Sean noted after our technicians completed their visits. --- Homeowner

The Results: A Comfortable Home

By the end of our service, Sean’s air conditioning system not only met but exceeded expectations. The once problematic unit was now fully operational, providing consistent and reliable cooling. Sean could enjoy his comfortable home without the worry of unexpected breakdowns or intermittent cooling.
