Recessed Lighting Installation Success
Transforming Spaces: Recessed Lighting Installation
At Thermo Electric, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and high-quality workmanship for all our electrical projects. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a wonderful customer, Nancy B., who had us tackle several projects at her home in Austin, TX. Nancy's goal was to upgrade her lighting system, and we were excited to help illuminate her space with beautiful, functional recessed lighting.
The Before: Challenges and Needs
Before our involvement, Nancy dealt with outdated lighting that left her home feeling dim and less inviting. She recognized the need for a modern upgrade and decided to reach out to our team. After discussing her vision, we established a plan to install recessed lights and dimmers throughout her home to create a warm and welcoming ambiance.
However, the process wasn't without its surprises. During installation, our team discovered a loose wire that was preventing her air conditioning system from functioning properly. In many situations, it might have been standard to refer Nancy to an HVAC specialist, but we believe in going above and beyond for our clients.
The Transformation Process
Over the course of a twelve-hour day, our owner and lead electrician, Tyler, focused on not only installing the recessed lights but also ensuring that every electrical aspect was handled correctly. We carefully selected the right fixtures to complement Nancy's home style, utilizing quality materials to guarantee a lasting result.
While switching out the old light fixtures for new, sleek recessed lights, Tyler thoroughly inspected the entire system, which is when he identified the issue with the loose wire. Instead of leaving it unresolved, he took the initiative to repair the faulty wiring immediately. This commitment showcases our dedication to quality and our customer-first attitude.
The After: A Bright New Space
Upon completion, the transformation was remarkable. Nancy's home was not only brighter and more stylish with the newly installed recessed lighting, but her air conditioning was also functioning perfectly again. This dual victory is what we strive for at Thermo Electric: enhancing home environments while ensuring every system operates optimally.
Nancy was thrilled with the outcome, sharing this kind review about her experience with us:
> “Tyler is very good at what he does, his rates are fair and most important of all he is honorable. I have had him at my house for several projects and he has done everything well. He even went above and beyond after spending twelve hours installing recessed lights and dimmers in all my rooms and found a loose wire that was keeping my A/C from coming back on. Anyone else would have told me to call an HVAC specialist and just left me in the 90-degree house, but he didn't. Instead, he found a bad repair done by a previous contractor and fixed it right. Tyler is a stand-up guy and a really good electrician.”
Conclusion
This project exemplifies our mission at Thermo Electric: providing quality electrical services with integrity and care. We're proud to foster lasting relationships with our clients, ensuring their homes are not just functional but beautiful and comfortable too.
If you're looking to revamp your lighting system or need any other electrical services in Austin, TX, don't hesitate to reach out to us. Our dedicated team is here to help bring your vision to life!

Recently, we had the privilege of working with a wonderful couple who needed multiple electrical projects completed in their home. Their feedback not only highlights our commitment to quality but also motivates our team to keep exceeding expectations.
The Challenge: A Series of Electrical Projects
When Amanda W. and her husband reached out to us, they had several electrical issues that required immediate attention. After experiencing power outages during freeze events, they wanted to ensure that their home would remain powered, regardless of the weather conditions. Their list of projects included installing a generator input in the garage and various other electrical updates throughout their home.
Our Approach to the Transformation
Understanding the urgency and importance of their requirements, our team, led by Tyler, promptly began addressing their electrical needs. Here’s how we approached their project:
1. Initial Assessment: We conducted a comprehensive evaluation of their existing electrical system, identifying areas that required upgrades or repairs.
2. Generator Installation: A crucial part of their project involved installing a generator input. This installation would allow them to connect their generator—built into their Ford truck—to their home, ensuring they could maintain power during outages.
3. Timely Execution: Efficiency is at the heart of our services. Tyler and our team worked diligently to ensure all tasks were completed in a timely manner without compromising quality.
4. Testing and Assurance: After installation, we tested the generator system thoroughly, giving our clients peace of mind that their home would be protected from future power outages.

> “My husband and I highly recommend using Thermo Electric. Tyler is absolutely fantastic. He knows exactly what he is doing. He is efficient and super reliable. We had MANY different electrical projects for him and he finished them all in a timely manner, and has high-quality work. He even put a generator input for us in our garage and tested it out.
