The owners reached out upon my updated review. After a few years, Alex worked with me to remedy the situation in a way we both believed was fair. It's not very common for a business to stand by their work even years after it was done.

We absolutely loved our experience with Your Home Expert. From start to finish, the communication was seamless and the quality of work was outstanding.
We had just bought a new home in Wylie, and within the first three months, the dishwasher leaked into our kitchen and damaged the floors. It was a stressful time to deal with such a large project so soon after moving in, but the staff at Your Home Expert made the process incredibly simple. We began with their mitigation team--Vitaly and Jaron--who were both very helpful in explaining how to file a claim and how long the drying process would take for our kitchen and other damaged areas.
Next, we met with Brandon, the estimator for the rebuild. He was extremely insightful, explaining what we needed to prepare for and giving us a clear idea of how long insurance would take to process our claim.
Finally, we were introduced to Santiago, our project manager. He was professional, kind, and attentive throughout the entire kitchen rebuild. When my husband had to be out of town for a family emergency, Santiago went above and beyond by accompanying me to the cabinet manufacturer's showroom and helping me design our new kitchen. He also suggested upgrades--like baseboards and tile layouts--that I absolutely loved, making the entire design process stress-free.
During the demolition phase, Santiago took the time to walk me through the space, using tape to mark out measurements for new cabinets and fixtures. He demonstrated how different layouts would work in my kitchen, which gave me so much confidence in the project. I also appreciated receiving daily video updates, which kept me in the loop every step of the way.
After months of waiting on insurance, the actual remodel was completed quickly and efficiently. Santiago addressed all my concerns immediately, and Brandon was there to assist with any pricing adjustments or upgrades we wanted to make.
I would recommend Your Home Expert in a heartbeat. The entire team is knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely committed to their clients. It was incredibly refreshing to trust one company with the entire insurance claim process instead of juggling multiple contractors. The consistency of seeing the same faces each day gave me great peace of mind--especially since I was home alone for most of the project while my husband was away.
Thank you so much to everyone at Your Home Expert for turning a stressful situation into a smooth experience and giving me a kitchen--and a home--even more beautiful than before.

We recently experienced severe water damage in our Master Bathroom and we found Your Home Expert. We needed a full Masterbath renovation and new floors throughout our home. The experience was exceptional from the very beginning to the end. The professionalism of the team (Joel, Alex and Daniel), was very thorough in protecting our home throughout the completion of the renovations. Daniel was a God Send, this was our first major home renovation and he provided ongoing communications, kept us informed every step of the way, provided daily detailed progress videos, answered all of my crazy questions and put my family and I at ease during this stressful situation. We have no complaints and super thrilled with the outcome of our new floors and Master Bath. Your Home Expert exceeded our expectations.
We highly recommend Your Home Experts and their services, if you're ever in need of mitigation services and renovations/remodeling needs.

Part 1- YHE Water Restoration Crew
My experience with YHE started back in July when my A/C unit leaked and flooded half my house. By the grace of God, my plumber had a relationship with YHE and Vitaly came out with his water restoration crew and saved the day!Through the water damage we found out there was an asbestos issue because my house is literally 50 years old. Vitaly coordinated EVERYTHING. A literal lifesaver, there were so many crews, they had to rip out the floors, treat for asbestos, and dry my floors, all within 1 day of the immediate damage so I didn't get mold. This process had about7 day turn around. But my story does not end there, YHE went on to battle with my insurance, Progressive to get the estimate, audits, paperwork for all of the required repairs. Additional shout out to Johny who worked on my asbestos and the crew that helped!
Part 2 - Restoration Estimate and Planning
The insurance thing took FOREVER, which is obviously no fault of YHE, but there was lag from the initial damage to the restoration. For the restoration process, I decided to continue working with YHE because I had such an amazing experience with Vitaly and friends. So sometime in October, YHE finally got traction with my insurance to pay for the restoration portion of my home repair. Vitaly worked diligently to hand off the project to Brandon and Santiago who were absolutely wonderful. Brandon took on the insurance fight with Vitaly and Santiago took over all of the boots on the ground coordination. They scheduled my flooring selection and (Big shout out to Kyle's team who did my pack out and Adrian! They were great and extended my pack out free of charge. Love them!) The sheer amount of crews and teams at my house was wild but each contractor and subcontractor group were respectful, helpful, and kind all throughout the process.
Part 3- Restoration
Now this does not begin until December, but again, this was Progressive's fault. They issued the wrong checks and it was a whole thing. When that was finally worked out, Santiago took over! HE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Truly went above and beyond. He created a WhatsApp with my very many contractors and subcontractors and dealt with all of the day to day stress. Santiago sent me daily detailed updates on my progress and worked with scheduling my subcontractors. At times, I would be running in and out of my house because I needed things and he would always work around my schedule. I was never in the dark with Santiago, any request or question I had, he fixed or made it work!! Go team Santiago, he really went above and beyond to make my experience an amazing one! I really wish I knew the names of all of the many people who worked on my house because everyone was so great and accommodating, it's like they were working for a family member and not some random person. Santiago and Brandon were able to get my work done 2 weeks before expected. They had the house repainted where work was done and cleaned! I generally would not want additional water damage to my house BUT if I ever need any additional work done I know exactly to call! I feel really blessed because an event that really could have ruined my house and my wallet, cost me almost nothing out of pocket. The quality of work was unmatched, the men I worked with were also unmatched! 10 out of 10 experience, so much so that I would actually recommend there services to anyone. So GO TEAM GENTLEMEN, YOU ARE ALL ROCKSTARS IN MY BOOK!

Called back quickly (late at night on Friday) and got out to asses damage the next day. Communicated well even though it was during holidays and I believe he was on vacation. Work that was completed looks very good. My only complaint would be thinking the process could have been streamlined to complete tasks in parallel. The whole restoration took about 5 weeks (again lost a couple of days for holidays).

Please...for your own mental health and well-being, look elsewhere for your next remodel. I'll explain why below but before I do just know that YHE is going to reply and say they take all customers concerns carefully, they communicate clearly, and they accommodate to their customers. Don't be fooled. This was not my experience.
This was the first big remodeling project my girlfriend and I have done and we had a pretty terrible experience with this company. We had major flood damage and needed to redo the guest bathroom and flooring in both of the guest bedrooms. After we frantically we're forced to hire YHE's water remediation company (another story/review and also a bad experience...), we were forced and pressured into signing an agreement with YHE Remodeling. Felt wrong from the beginning. Felt like they've done this before. The owners lured us into a false sense of security in the beginning but as soon as they knew they had us cornered and we signed the invoice--not a real contract by the way--they weren't involved much until we started to have problems.
Reluctantly, we hoped things would improve. But in the first meeting, which lasted about an hour, they tried to pit us against our insurance company to benefit themselves. YHE used shady tactics to maximize profits, and as a result, our insurance premiums have almost doubled. We thought we were getting a good deal and YHE wasn't "there to make us happy" like they'd claimed. They provided no detailed invoice, just a lump sum, and said some suspicious things when we sat across the table from them. It felt like letting foxes into a henhouse.
They look at a disaster and see dollar signs. Not the human in distress.
YHE lied to us about how much money they were making and they were consistently vague about pricing--huge red flag and unprofessional. Be careful if you ever come across YHE. They will smooth talk you into a false sense of comfort and confidence, but really they're after your money. Since our project, they updated their website to exclude projects under $20,000. This is because they know our project was less than $20k but they MADE US PAY ALMOST DOUBLE. When we called them out, they got defensive, and only after Michael, one of the owners, scolded us in a group chat for just trying to understand the numbers behind the costs, did he agree to meet with us. But even then, he refused to be transparent and instead bragged about his company's worth--an interesting approach.
Bad business, in my opinion.
We consulted another reputable remodeling company, who told us they aim to limit work to protect the home and reduce customer costs. YHE could learn from their approach. This is how true professionals should work. Instead, their water restoration team chipped our floor tile, which conveniently led to more charges for repairs--a benefit for YHE, not us. We need to protect our community and not let companies like YHE do everything they can do to up-charge for their own benefit.
YHE will respond to this and tell you they communicate clearly. I disagree. They attempted to document everything via video but it was unorganized and The initial scope was not what we agreed upon in our first meeting. I'm 100% confident in this because I recorded the entire first conversation we had in our house to make sure we didn't miss anything after the fact. They later tried to charge us for the vanity and countertop, which they had previously agreed to cover. Throughout the process, they nickel-and-dimed us, despite initially promising nothing would be out of pocket. I have the recording to prove it--funny they missed that detail in their "documentation."
During the actual remodel they chipped paint on the doors, the bathroom fan no longer works, they left cigarette butts in our front yard, and they left trash in multiple places. Jeka and Daniel were solid and tried to help as best they could but we had the opposite experience with the owners. We also asked them replace the toilet in the master bathroom and they left the sewage hole opened for 2 days while we were out of town: serious health hazard.
This experience has left such a bad taste in our mouths and I'm hoping nobody in our community goes through the same torment. Get multiple bids for your next project and leave YHE out of the running...please. Hold your contractors accountable from beginning and don't let them sweet talk you. In any insurance claim you may have in the future, make sure you get a detailed estimate with line by line items and the associated cost before the contractors pressure you to sign anything. There are far better companies in our community who truly care about their customers. Please, go with someone other than YHE
Good luck.
