Transforming Water-Damaged Kitchens
Transforming Water-Damaged Kitchens
At 247 AquaDry, we take pride in providing top-notch services for water damage restoration. Recently, we had the opportunity to help a client in Charlotte, NC, whose kitchen suffered extensive damage due to a hot water pipe bursting. When Mariciel reached out to us, she expressed her concerns about the flooding, and we immediately set to work to assess and address the situation.
Before: A Kitchen in Distress
When we first arrived at Mariciel's home, the kitchen was in disarray. The tiled floor was swollen and discolored, signs of the water damage were evident, and the homeowners were understandably anxious about potential hazards. Our team understood that time was of the essence, and we needed to act quickly to minimize further damage.
Our Approach to Restoration
The restoration process began with a thorough inspection and the careful demolition of the kitchen floor tiles. Our skilled crew members, Joe, Roy, and Eric, demonstrated their professionalism and meticulous attention to detail as they worked efficiently to minimize disruption in Mariciel's home.
Here are some of the key actions our team took:
- Preliminary Demolition: We methodically removed the damaged tiles to assess the extent of the water damage beneath, ensuring we did not compromise any structural integrity.
- Protective Measures: Knowing that dust and debris can aggravate the situation, we covered the cabinets, countertops, and entryways to other rooms to reduce dust accumulation and maintain a clean environment.
- Careful Handling: We even went the extra mile by carefully moving the refrigerator and ensuring it was protected throughout the demolition process, showcasing our commitment to quality service.
Once we removed the tiles and assessed the damage, we meticulously cleaned the work area, leaving it tidy and ready for the next phase of restoration.
After: A Clean Slate Ready for Restoration
Thanks to our efficient work, Maricielâs kitchen was left in an organized state, setting the stage for further repairs, including the removal of cabinets and countertops. Itâs no wonder she felt compelled to share her experience:
> "Joe, Roy, and Eric were very professional, efficient, courteous, and polite. They ensured the cabinets, countertops, and entrance openings were properly covered to minimize dust accumulation. Amazing attention to detail! Thank you for sending efficient and very professional workers our way."
