My husband has been a loyal ABC Pest Control customer since July 2010. In November 2014 we inquired about changing our service to have quarterly pest control maintenance rather than six times per year. At that time, the representative my husband communicated with said quarterly service was not an option but that he could "skip" an appointment and re-schedule for a month later. This provided us with the service interval we wanted.

Recently, my husband put in a service request to move the appointment by one month, as he had been doing routinely. He received a response that he was not allowed to do this, as it would cancel more than one appointment per year. At this point, he called and they told him that this is the "policy" and "it has been this way for some time". They sent an email that said we had signature pest control where they came out every month [sic] and that "maybe the best option will be to move towards a quarterly service it will boost your monthly rate from 86.75 to 130.13." So now the best option is for us to pay the same amount per year for ABC to come out less frequently? The whole point of switching to quarterly service for the same amount per year is disingenuous and insulting.

It's sad that a local business would treat a long time customer this way. If you're looking to save money (or not get suckered into paying the same amount per year for 6 times service as quarterly), look elsewhere.

It's been 3 years since I last reviewed this business so I wanted to write an update that I am still very impressed with their services and recommend them to everyone. I use them for pest control and I have zero bug problems! Anytime I notice slightly more ant, wasp, whatever pest activity in the yard, I let them know at their next visit and they're very responsive and they shut it down! Their lawn care is great, too, I just had flowers planted that are thriving and my lawn is well mowed. The ONLY thing they don't do, is that I wish they would tell me what I need to do during their regular lawn visits. For example, when it's the best time of year to mulch being reminded that I should book that service, or if an area looks like it needs to be watered more, or weeded, etc. Once I tell them what needs to be done, however, they take care of it, and I am consistently satisfied.

I've been using ABC commercial services for about 5 years now. The prices are a little higher than compositors, but you can't beat the service. I've never come across anyone who was rude or unhelpful. The service is top notch. They always clean up after themselves and make sure everything is as it should be before leaving. The let also have great warranties and I've never had a problem getting them to come back out of there is ever an issue. I'd recommend them.

Contacted ABC for installation of a new vanity for my powder room. The plumber quoted me over $1000 for the install because he said that in addition to the installation, they would have to cut into the wall and move my existing plumbing. I called a different plumber and they were able to find a very simple workaround and completed the job for a small fraction of what ABC quoted. Do not recommend these guys. Expensive and not very efficient.

Yikes! These guys are expensive! I requested a quote for mowing service and had to swallow hard when I saw their prices. Found another company that does the same but for half the price. We do use them for pest control as those prices are relatively competitive. The service states that they will come out every two months for the outside perimeter and will come inside only if necessary. As far as tree trimming, shrub shaping, or flowerbed cleanup, they offer a free quote. But, OH BOY, do they want a fortune to do the work! I was told that their minimum price is 500 buckaroos! Consequently, I Googled "how-to-trim/shape-a-tree-so-you-won't-have-to-call-them" and saved my husband from potential heart failure. I think their overhead is way high and this is how they compensate. Perhaps there are other companies around that charge a lot less for making your backyard show-stopping. But when I realized that a pair of Fiskar cutters will make my place look like a $million$, I went for it. The trees and shrubs got trimmed and my doctor got a little bit richer from treating me for poison oak.
