I might use ABC again, but I have mixed feelings about a recent experience.
I called about a gagging stench from our stove; I suspected a dead rat in the kitchen vent. Their tech came the same day and tried unsuccessfully to remove what turned out to be a live skunk. He decided it could be trapped at night when it came out to eat. He called his supervisor to check on a trap, then explained he couldn't get one that day, but promised that somebody would "definitely" be out the following day.
The following day at 3pm, ABC called back to tell me that for trapping they would need to get a signed agreement. I explained that the smell was reduced so someone should check first to see if the skunk was gone. ABC told me that the tech should not have promised what he did, and that the first available appointment for someone to check would be one week later.
On the one hand, ABC didn't honor the word of a uniformed employee who had just spoken with his supervisor.
On the other hand, their phone staff are courteous and did send someone the day I called. It was unnerving for a while, to think that the skunk might still be there. A few days later, the skunk's definitely gone, and ABC's operations manager calls to make sure it is, and to apologize for the mixup and explain how it happened.
In summary: ABC is large enough to send someone competent out the day I needed them. But they're also large enough to sometimes be uncoordinated.

We contracted ABC for pest control. Rodents in the garage and attic. We had seen rats and squirrels and had fought some rats in our own traps. We were quoted a price that we thought was high but needed the service done. the technician closed up entry points in the attic and set rat traps in the attic. Nothing for squirrels and nothing in the garage. We continued to catch rats in our own traps in the garage and heard additional noise in the attic. But soon started detecting an odor from the attic. The tech came back for a check about a week later and said no traps had been sprung and he couldn't find the dead rodent. He didn't have the equipment on his truck for odor control. I called customer service and they sent the same tech the next day. He still couldn't find the dead rodents but finally set a squirrel trap, odor continues.... another tech was scheduled to come the next day. My husband finally went into the attic himself and found the 2 culprits within 5 minutes. Don't hire this company unless you are ready to do the work yourself.

Called in for an A/C tuneup. Technician went in the attic to check freon levels, etc. Everything fine. Then he went outside to check the a/c unit. He said the capacitor "looked weak" and offered to replace it for $162.56. He also said the contactor looked slightly black (I looked at it myself but couldn't really see anything) and offered to replace that for $122. So the total charge for everything would be around $365. I did a quick google search and found that both of these parts can be purchased for around $20 (some brands cost more, some less). So we're looking at nearly $250 in labor fees for something that can be replaced in minutes? Seems way too expensive to me. Luckily, I had the guy from Pat's Plumbling in Hutto in my house at the same time that ABC was here. He was installing a toilet (and did a good job, btw.) He told me that ABC always overcharge because their technicians make 18% on every upcharge. He advised me to call Service Wizard instead and told me they'd do it for at least $100 cheaper. I wish I talked to Pat first.

Robert from the HVAC department was a champ! He worked tirelessly in my hot garage updating/cleaning coils and installing new hardware. He was meticulous, making sure everything worked properly before he left. And he did it all while still in pain from a recent oral surgery! Will surely call ABC and Robert, especially for any future services.

Charged $220 to install a garbage disposal, 1.5 hours of work. Very expensive.

While I love the spring weather it always brings a sense of dread that bug season is coming again with the April rains. Roaches and millipedes give me the heebie jeebies. It honestly makes me feel super at ease knowing I have ABC as a provider. I can only speak to my own experiences but ABC pest control has always been fantastic about working around my busy schedule. When I had pest control issues they fit into their timetable ASAP even though it was short notice. In addition, my tech is fantastic he always calls ahead to make sure I'm home and is super quick and efficient. In the over 5 years I've used ABC for pest control issues they've been really great at accommodating! I plan to continue using them for sure.
