I needed two projects completed at two different locations.
The first was to install cement board siding in a section that had cheap siding installed and to replace rotten trim. The job came out great but it took a day longer, they left all the trash on site and was dumped in the recycling bin instead of tossing inside a trash bag and taken it with them. On this one the quote was not adjusted and kept at the promised amount.
The second project was building out a 6 x 8 office in a garage. I was originally quoted an 8 hour job just studs and drywall work. Straight cuts, no texture, no paint, no trim, just cut nail, mud. The first day they had the studs all up and the outside walls, was told that in just 4 more hours the insulation and interior walls would go up. Next day 7 hours to do that part and didnāt even tape or mud. Came the next day and left after just 4 hours no call or response left the job incomplete. Day four they didnāt show up, call or return my calls, so I decided to get the job done myself. Next day called to say they were on their way and I told them not to, he just apologized but didnāt give a reason. Billing issues as well, they quote low to get in the door but then inflate the bill incredibly high at the end!
Fair warning, you WILL have billing issues with the company. The work is fine. But will not meet deadlines and will bait in switch when it comes down to how much you pay to what they quote you. After the second project I will not be doing business with them again and warn everyone against working with them. Many other contractors out there that do great and honest work, youāve been warned!

I had them out to do some work in my living room. Overall they did well while they were out here, the project took longer than expected so it was a bit over the estimated price.
The issue, and the reason for the one star, is that their customer service and ability to give an accurate estimate is terrible. I had follow on work to make cabinets scheduled for the following week. After multiple emails/calls and 3 months they still hadn't started, as I kept getting excuses or just completely ignored.
I then get an updated quote and price had increased from $388 to over $1100. I was given the excuse that the price of materials had increased 3x and the labor would be 12 hours and not the original 4. The reasoning he gave was that he had to build them at his house and that he'd have to wait for paint/glue to dry etc. He acted as if there was no ability to multi-task or work on other projects and that all of the hours had to be billed-- which is interesting because that was not the case when I was originally quoted and because I was told the reason I had to wait on the project was because they were too busy.
So for anyone looking at this company, they do good work but be prepared to pay more than you're quoted. Also, as an FYI... the going rate for the build and installation of two cabinet doors (approx 24"x30") is over $1100.

Handyman matters came out and gave us a bid for installing baseboards but ended up charging us $3,275.76 dollars more than what was bid with little to no explanation as to why it was thousands of dollars off from the initial bid. They also did not finish the job to industry standards.
After a thorough inspection of our home and areas to be completed, we received an e-mail that we later had approved through our insurance
āTo install new base boards in the kitchen, dining, laundry, living room, office and master and paint will take about 2 days with one craftsman, or about $1,380.
The two small rooms upstairs will take about 6 hours, or about $510.ā
When the handyman arrived he said the boards were too high and needed to be stripped down which we agreed to. This took an additional 2-3 hours which we approved. I was out of town on business and explained to Bob our handyman over the phone that this is being covered by our insurance and that must husband was not authorized to sign off on anything because I must get things approved through our insurance first and my husband has no idea what was quoted or how to pass the info to insurance for approval. Bob assured me he would let me know if there were any changes and I trusted that.
The project took 4 days to complete (so we were told. we were both gone while work was being done so there was no way to know if all the time spent was done wisely.) After completion and payment my husband text me a photo of the bill for our records and the total amount charged was 5,215.76 an increase of $3,275.76!!! My jaw hit the floor! We had made zero changes from the original request with the exception of 3 additional hours with one craftsman cutting boards down and the estimate increased by that much? I called handyman matters immediately and asked them what had happened and why the increase and they said it took longer than expected and required an additional guy. When asked why I wasnāt made aware of this prior, in order to get it approved through our insurance company, they said they gave a paper to my husband to sign and explained it all to him, which my husband says never happened. He canāt read without glasses and he said Bob put a paper in front of him and said I need this signed to keep moving forward with the work with zero explanation as to what was being signed. I did not give authorization for my husband to sign off or agree to any increases and was very specific that I was the only person authorized to approve any changes to move forward yet Bob disregarded my request and knowingly asked my husband to sign anyways.
I called and disputed the charges and said I would do my best to get it approved through my insurance but because they went ahead without getting approval first as I had requested that I most likely wonāt be able to get anything additional and to please let me know how they would like me to proceed. I was told I would receive a call back, but instead received a letter from their attorney requesting full payment or further actions would be taken.
In addition the baseboards were not painted with the proper paint and nailheads were not puttied or painted. Putty was left rough in spots where they attempted to fill. I called and expressed this to Abby and asked why we were quoted 4times less than what was actually billed and she said she didnāt know but that we are required to pay and can talon to their lawyer with any further questions.
We feel robbed and taken advantage of. I still canāt wrap my head around how they can quote the time and money it will take to complete And be off by over 3k dollars in their estimate.
This transaction felt very dishonest. We will never hire them again.

I hired them to finish building a wooden swing set for my chronically ill toddler, who is unable to leave the house often due to his illness. My husband had begun the work, organized all the pieces, and marked his stopping point. Our handyman was very kind, but worked very slowly. After 4 hours and $400, I had one tower built, of which my husband had already done half, but no slide or slide platform and no swings. When my husband went to work on it some more, he had to spend over an hour taking it apart because it had been put together upside down! I called the company and tried to get them to help me, but all they said was that it normally takes much longer to build these swingsets, something that was NOT mentioned when I first called to book help, and that didn't account for the work being done wrong either. All I want is a place for my son to play like a normal kid for a few minutes. All I got was wasting $400 and no help from the company to make it right.
