I booked this company based on reviews from Yelp, and I unfortunately did not have as good of an experience as others. We hired them for 2 projects which were bid on at the same time and done back to back: replacing chimney siding and building a new deck. The initial work done- tearing down and replacing a high wall of siding on the back part of the chimney- was very well done, and I was optimistic that the rest of the work would be as well. Then things started to go downhill. I had to request another coat of paint on the siding as it did not match the house. They followed through, but I am unclear why I needed to ask, as it was obviously not finished. They also left the siding on the opposite side of the chimney unfinished- they replaced the trim, but left the rotted siding on, so on one side of the chimney we have brand new siding, on the other side it is old and rotting. The deck project initially went fine, until the staining process started- they seemed to think one coat of stain was fine, and again we had to request a second coat. We also asked that they stain in the gaps between the boards, which they did not do. After the first and second coats of stain, The deck looked splotchy and uneven- and we asked for them to correct it, and finish staining the gaps, and at this point we were told that we were "stressing him (lead contractor) out," he was visibly angry, and continued to argue about the deck. He did not completely correct the uneven staining job. I would not recommend this company unless you get every detail in writing and are prepared to closely supervise them, and argue/negotiate with them if you have differences. They are competent, but not detail oriented, and customer service skills are lacking.

Advanced Home Repairs to the rescue! Let me tell you, Ilya and his partner are lifesavers. It all began one morning when my wife and I heard a constant loud pounding coming from the side of our house. My initial thought was an intruder trying to break into our house from the chimney, mind you this was around 5 am, a few hours before I normally get up for work. I walked out to find a woodpecker going at my siding! Like every first time home owner, I googled it and read how important it was to repair immediately before more damage could be made. That's when I called Ilya, he was fast to respond and gave a competitive estimate siding repair. The new siding and paint job was done in a little over a day. He even put in a waterproofing layer which was absent from the original install. I would not hesitate to call on Advanced Home Repairs for my next home project. Great work Ilya!

We contacted Advanced Home Repairs to take at look at repairing our rotten chimney chase siding as well as removing a tree. Ilya was quick to come out and take a look at the problem in order to give us an estimate. The estimate sounded fair, and Ilya seemed knowledgeable and professional so we agreed to get started on work.

In all, the repairs took about 2.5 days. There were a couple of small additional issues found as the siding was taken out (we were warned this may be the case), and Ilya made sure to give me a call with my options and any additional estimates when that happened.

In all, Advanced Home Repairs:
* Replaced rotten siding at the bottom of our chimney chase
* Replaced rotten siding at the top of our chimney
* Replaced some damaged siding at the back of our house
* Replaced the rusted chimney cap
* Repaired some improperly sloped gutters
* Removed a sizeable tree that was too close to our home

The work performed was of really good quality, and the communication along the way was also really appreciated. We look forward to working with Advanced Home Repairs in the future, and are in talks about some new projects (fence additions and house repainting).

Recently we needed our deck replaced and gates repaired. I was going to get several bids before moving ahead with the project. I have to write a review (which I NEVER do) to let people know that Ilya and Ben of Advanced Home Repairs are two of the very best workmen I have EVER had occasion to use. (Speaking as a former apt. mgr., I've seen a lot)!

I found that I had a number of windows with sill and trim rot to varying degrees. I also had a gutter/fascia problem. After having tried to find someone to come I was fortunate to be directed to them. The other businesses from whom I sought a bid, showed up - and never got back to me at all. Ilya came out, inspected everything in minute detail, took pictures for documentation and had a bid ready for me first thing Monday morning. It was accurate and detailed, with pictures as documentation - as it should be. They were able to begin right away and within three long days, working efficiently and skillfully, they put everything back into tip-top shape. They were also the only workmen who knew how to handle some of the oddities involved in this job i.e. utilizing flashing for my very deep-set windows.

I give them my highest recommendation for honesty, exceptional skill, prompt communication, clean-up, efficiency and work ethic, and professionalism in every way. I will definitely be using them in the future. Once you've found the best, why go elsewhere?
