Home Makeover with Smart Lighting

Home Makeover with Smart Lighting At American Electric Contractor, we pride ourselves on delivering quality electrical solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Gottfried T., a first-time homeowner who reached out to us for assistance after purchasing his new house in June 2020. The Challenge: Outdated Lighting and Electrical System Gottfried's new home was charming but required some essential upgrades to enhance its functionality and safety. He needed to install recess lights to brighten his living spaces and wanted to replace several outdated GFCI outlets to ensure they met current safety standards. As he explored options, we were thrilled that he chose us, citing our reasonable pricing and positive reviews on Thumbtack as deciding factors. Our Transformation Process Once we began the project, we closely collaborated with Gottfried to address his evolving requirements. In addition to the initial tasks, he requested an upgrade to his home's power capacity, moving up to a 200 amp service, which involved several steps: 1. Assessment: Our team conducted a thorough evaluation of the home's existing electrical system. 2. Installation of Recess Lights: We carefully designed a layout that maximized illumination while enhancing the home's aesthetic. 3. GFCI Outlet Replacement: We replaced outdated outlets and installed new ones to ensure they were equipped to handle modern appliances safely. 4. Power Capacity Upgrade: We efficiently executed the upgrade, allowing for better energy management throughout the home. 5. Smart Switch Installation: Gottfried also decided to incorporate several smart switches, providing greater control and convenience. Despite the challenges presented by the ongoing pandemic and the changing requests from Gottfried, our team remained committed to delivering exactly what he envisioned. The Result: Bright and Safe Home The transformation was nothing short of stunning! The newly installed recess lights not only improved the overall brightness of each room but also added a modern touch to the home’s interior. The updated GFCI outlets provided confidence in safety for any electrical appliances. The upgrade to a 200 amp power capacity means that Gottfried can now enjoy a more reliable and efficient electrical system for years to come. Gottfried expressed his satisfaction with our work, saying: > "I appreciate [Edgar’s] attitude and that he's willing to work with my changing requests in the middle of a stressful pandemic. Overall, I am happy with his work and would recommend you to at least check him out for electrical work." Conclusion At American Electric Contractor, transforming spaces and ensuring safety is our top priority. We are proud of the significant impact our work had on Gottfried's home, making it brighter and safer for his family.
