I recently had the pleasure of working with Aviv @ AP Remodeling on a project proposal. Eventhough we ultimately went in a different direction, I want to share my positive experience during the bidding process.
From the start, Aviv was very was communicative, thoughtful, and responsiveāeven while traveling abroad. He was engaged, provided advice based on his many years in the industry. He showed us projects that were at different stages -- one was at foundation, another was in the framing stage, and the last one was delivered (we saw finishes and the work quality). He talked to us about the building process and why things were the way things were. On his projects, he showed us renderings of the finished product and what stage they were at for that particular project. Aviv is not afraid to roll up his sleeves, during one of our initial discussions, we were talking about load bearing walls and he said - let me have a look in your attic. So up we went. He looked at the framing set up and gave me his advice.
Separately (and unknown to Aviv), we reached out via our local FB groups to past clients of his. They too were extremely happy with his work. We didn't meet a client who had critical / negative feedback. One such client was very nice enough to show us their kitchen in person, and I can say that the quality was top notch.
The proposal Aviv delivered was comprehensive. Of the many GCs we were working with, he provided me his opinion at each step of the way and the reasons why - I greatly appreciate that.
Even though we went in a different direction (to no fault of Aviv), I would highly recommend that you tap into his expertise and consider him for your project. He has project managers, designers, and vendors that he works with to deliver an awesome result.
