I wanted to add something to this review that I believe everyone should take into account when choosing a contractor. This month, I noticed a very small exterior problem with our new adu. Nothing major but something I wanted to check out since it was a big construction project. I sent AP remodeling a note, assuming that they would not pay much attention to it since the project was completed months ago. Not only did they respond quickly they actually sent out someone to take care of the issue, and did it quickly and for free. This is a project that finished months ago, and for them to respond so quickly and effectively is something that says a lot about the company they are. I implore anyone who is thinking do doing a project to take a look at them. Not only did everything in my initial review happen, but they stand behind their work for the long haul. I am extremely impressed by that, and would be willing to speak with anyone who is interested in working with them. 5 stars at the start and 5 stars for their continued support.

We recently converted our garage into an ADU and used AP remodeling after getting a few different quotes. We could not be happier with the results. A few main things stand out for us.
1. Their workers were always incredibly friendly, and took care of any issues that popped up. They took care to not disturb our neighbors and us living inside the house.
2. They were responsive to any changes we requested and add ons we had, but didn’t try to push a bunch of extras on us once ground was broken.
3. Most importantly, they finished AHEAD of schedule. While not trying to jam a bunch of things in at the end, they ended up finishing early and we couldn’t be happier. And they are still responsive to coming back if we notice any small things that pop up. They usually have someone there to fix the issue within a day.

All told the entire project was much easier than we thought it would be and would recommend AP Remodeling to anyone. They might not be the cheapest option you find, but it’s worth it to have peace of mind that the people doing the work will respond and listen to issues that arise.

We hired Aviv and his team to convert our attached garage to a JADU divided into a few different functional spaces for us. We lived at the house during the remodel. We had our own plans drawn up, and I knew in advance exactly what I wanted every inch of the design to be. It takes a particularly receptive contractor to work with someone who wants everything just so and who is essentially micromanaging on the ground daily. The trio running the project -- Aviv, project manager Josh, and foreman Hector -- was excellent about listening to my daily questions and comments and implementing any changes I requested.

The workers were also highly courteous, adjusting their arrival time to accommodate our morning schedule with our kids, cleaning up after they finished, and avoiding unnecessary disruption to the house. They collaborated well with the HVAC contractor and carpenter we hired. Hector was exceptional in his willingness to run all around town looking for the proper pieces when I had not been able to purchase them.

The work itself is very good. The finished space looks fully integrated into the house, and the finishes are installed cleanly. We had a touch-up list at the end, and Josh and Hector got to it within days. We are very satisfied with the results. Most importantly, the job was completed exactly on time within the 6-9 weeks we were told at the start of the project. This is so important as a timely completion is one of the most important aspects of working with a contractor.

We have worked with contractors in the past and can say that AP Remodeling is the most pleasant and satisfactory experience we have had. Highly recommend.
