I purchased a large 7500W portable generator for emergency backup. I then learned that a transfer switch, essentially a breaker box which the generator's output flows through, was needed for a safe and effective install.
After contacting several companies with good ratings on Yelp for estimates, I decided on Arc Angel.
A big part of this was that their tech, Nathan, gave me a comprehensive, no obligation estimate (also free)...which demonstrated to me: A. that he fully understood the job
B. that he would be sure to complete an install to my satisfaction
24 hours after Nathan completed this install, I can say I made a GREAT decision to use Arc Angel.
Also, for these reasons:
1. Their estimate=Final Cost
2. Before wiring the 10 circuit transfer switch, Nathan made certain that the 10 breaker box circuits I selected the night before would, indeed, work. Turned out, some fine-tuning was needed because my breaker box has three main shutoff circuits
3. A flawless job was done wiring the transfer switch and running power line to exterior outlet which was also neatly installed.
4. I asked Nathan and his helper, James, to lift the 230# generator onto two large pieces of wood so I could install the tires and "feet." They were happy to help me out, and also stopped at a gas station to fill my gas jug when they went out to pickup a part.
5. When they returned, we fired up the generator and plugged into the just-installed exterior outlet. All the selected circuits were operating! I double checked both floors of my house. Perfect!
This was a fully competent and successful install.
And by the way, Shana, who is Arc Angel's customer contact person, provides GREAT customer service. From the initial estimate appointment to install date, she kept me fully informed regarding appointment dates, times, and tech arrival time. Shana was a pleasure to speak with. AND I WAS NEVER PUT ON HOLD!!! She additionally sent texts and emails. Really professional. The way customer service SHOULD be!!
I highly recommend Arc Angel.

I called for an estimate on replacing a ceiling fan that was mounted 18' above my living room. They came out the same day in less than an hour. They gave me the estimate and said that they could install it right then if I wanted. I agreed and in less than 90 minutes they had everything completed and cleaned up. They even hauled away my old ceiling fan! Austin was professional and did a fantastic job on the install!

I called Arc Angel out to replace a ballast on one of the fluorescent light fixtures in our clinic. It was not an emergency and I waited 2 days for them to come out. They texted me no less than 3 times and emailed me. Their electrician called me that morning asking if it would be ok to arrive early. All of these are good and appropriate. They then charged me $357.50 for a ballast and 30 minutes of labor. I thought, "that's a lot!". I wrote them and asked for an itemized bill and they said "Our pricing is all-inclusive, meaning that the labor, material, and any other factors for each item is combined into one line". In other words, "none of your business". I now understand (after calling competitors - which I should have done in the first place...my bad) that $357.50 is really high for a $20 ballast and I am assuming a one-hour minimum charge (he was there less than 30 minutes, btw). To add insult to financial injury, the electrician then gave me an unsolicited quote of $1,800 to replace all of my fixtures with LED. What the heck? Did I just pay him to give me an unsolicited quote? In any case, I will never use them again. If you do call them, please get other quotes and compare.

I'm in the middle of a DIY Kitchen rehab. I had Arc Angel out to install Dimmer switches, wiring & install recessed and under cabinet lighting. They were quick to respond, come out, answer my questions, make suggestions and provide a quote on the spot. They even showed me reference photos of the points they were making to ensure I understood what they were saying. There was no pressure and everything they educated me on made perfect sense.

I felt the price they quoted me was very fair, and the work they did was very neatly done. Since I'm still working around the lighting, they provided photos and made sure I understood how they did the installation so I could easily continue my work.

Most importantly, I feel very comfortable that the job was done properly. I can do the woodwork, but it's best to call the pros for electricity.

In all, a great experience and I'll certainly call again.
