Austin Area Plumbing is the best. Their man, Eddie Pollack, is top notch. His professionalism, knowledge and personality illustrated to me what Customer Service used to be like. He arrived on time and ready to get started. In less than 30 minute he had the old water softener unit out and was preparing the copper lines for the new one. The physical install was accomplished in 30 or 40 minutes. The subsequent programming of the valve took about 10 minutes. Eddie checked and rechecked all connections for leaks. One was discovered and the root cause was quickly repaired.

I recommend Austin Area Plumbing and Mr. Pollack to anyone needing plumbing work. He personifies professionalism and a sense of pride in his work. He demonstrated an earnest willingness for helping the customer understand what is required and what will be performed. I plan on using them for all my future plumbing work.

Eddie at Austin Area Plumbing just did a great job and saved us big bucks. As part of a remodelling project, we had replaced our old 80-gal hot water tank with a Rinnai RUR98e tankless water heater 3 months ago. It was professionally installed by another firm, but it took a long time for hot water to reach our master bath and kitchen - 4 minutes just to start to get warm. Our remodel contractor's plumber said the best solution was a second tankless sytem with a dedicated recirc line for the master bath and kitchen and gave us a quote for over $4K. We called Rinnai and found that Austin Area Plumbing is the only company in Austin whose technicians have had authorized Rinnai training, so we called them for a second opinion. Eddie came out, and he was great. Turns out the initial installation of the tankless was not done correctly in order to activate its built-in recirc capability (add'l parts and settings that came with the unit had not been put in place). Eddie installed the needed parts and settings, and now we have hot water quickly in all sinks and showers. Eddie was professional, friendly, and educated me about the Rinnai. We looked at the manual together, and he let me join him on the phone with the Rinnai help desk so I could ask all the questions I wanted. I'm much happier paying $321 and having the system working as intended than paying $4K and having 2 systems with neither working as they should. Thanks to Austin Area Plumbing!

I have used other plumbers in the past but I have never had a reason to comment, at least not positively, about one. I had an emergency last weekend and needed someone knowledgeable about tankless water heaters immediately. I called Austin Area Plumbing and Eddie Pollack was sent to help me. Actually, I should say, he saved me! I truly think if I had called any other company I would have had property damage and probably ended up paying thousands for a new water heater. Even Rinnai was telling me it needed to be replaced but Eddie fixed it as good as new. But even more important than that, Eddie found a gas leak on the gas line! The water heater is located on a second floor just outside our son's room. I cannot say how grateful and impressed we were with Eddie's thorough examination and repair. Thank you Eddie!! It took a second call to get hold of them, but I'm glad I did. Curtis arrived right at the beginning of the two-hour window offered (same day!) Drains were not clearing in kitchen and laundry. He set straight to diagnosis and clearing and did not mind my following around with gobs of questions. Prompt, polite and effective!
