She was eager to create a lush, green lawn that would enhance her home's curb appeal while providing a beautiful space for her family.
The Before: A Need for Change
Clarice explained that her existing lawn had seen better days. With patchy areas and tired-looking sod, her outdoor space felt uninviting and lacked the vibrancy she desired. This is where our team stepped in, ready to tackle the challenge of revitalizing her landscape. Clarice wanted a fresh start, and we were thrilled to help her achieve that goal.
Our Transformation Process
Upon arrival, our team conducted a thorough assessment of the existing landscape. We recognized the importance of proper preparation before laying new sod; this would be crucial for ensuring the longevity and health of the new lawn. Here’s how we transformed her space:
1. Soil Preparation: We meticulously prepared the soil by removing the old sod and debris, ensuring a clean slate for the new grass.
2. Nutrient Enrichment: We enriched the soil with high-quality fertilizers to provide the necessary nutrients for the fresh sod.
3. Sod Installation: We carefully measured and cut the new sod to fit the space precisely, laying it down with professionalism to avoid any gaps that could hinder growth.
4. Watering and Maintenance Guidance: After installation, we provided Clarice with guidelines on watering and caring for her new lawn to ensure it takes root effectively.
The After: A Stunning Transformation
The transformation was remarkable. The once dull and patchy yard became a vibrant, lush green lawn, instantly enhancing the beauty and value of Clarice’s home. The feedback from Clarice was overwhelmingly positive:

Revamping a Backyard Oasis
Revamping a Backyard Oasis
At Austin Landscaping and Construction, we take immense pride in elevating the outdoor living spaces of our clients. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Ryan Thoma, who entrusted us with the task of revitalizing his backyard. After an initial consultation, Ryan expressed several challenges he faced, including overgrown flower beds and limited access to his rear entryway. He was looking for a comprehensive landscaping solution that would not only beautify the area but also enhance functionality.
The Before State
Before our team arrived, the backyard was somewhat neglected. The flower beds were overcrowded with weeds and overgrown plants, making the space feel chaotic rather than inviting. Additionally, the lack of a clear pathway to the rear entryway made navigation difficult. Ryan needed a trusted partner to bring order and beauty back to his outdoor space, and that's where we came in.
The Transformation Process
Upon beginning the project, our team executed a multi-faceted plan that involved several key elements:
1. Fabric and Mulching: We began by preparing the garden beds with landscaping fabric to prevent future weed growth. Afterward, we laid fresh mulch, which not only suppressed weeds but also provided a polished look.
2. Gardening/Planting: Next, we revitalized three flower beds with fresh plantings tailored to Ryan's style. Choosing a mix of perennials and annuals ensured that the beds would offer vibrant colors throughout the seasons.
3. Trimming Shrubs: To enhance the overall look of the landscaping, our crew carefully trimmed the existing shrubs to create a more defined and attractive shape.
4. Laying Crushed Stone: We improved the aesthetic of the patio area by laying crushed stone, which added texture and sophistication to the outdoor setting.
5. Crafting a New Stone Walkway: Finally, our team designed and installed a new stone walkway for easy access to the rear entryway, connecting the different sections of the yard seamlessly.
Throughout this process, we maintained open communication with Ryan, proactively discussing plans around the weather and sharing progress photos. It’s crucial to us that our clients feel involved and informed every step of the way.
The After Results
The transformation was nothing short of stunning. Ryan expressed his delight, stating,
> "Very pleased with Austin and his crew, they exceeded my expectations. The work came out beautifully. I keep looking at it and admiring it. Thank you, Austin!"
His enthusiasm was contagious, and we couldn't be happier to know that we had not only met but exceeded his expectations. The newly landscaped area became a true oasis, making his backyard not just more pleasing to the eye but also more functional for entertaining and relaxation.

Transforming a Front Yard After a Crisis
Transforming a Front Yard After a Crisis
When we received a call from Trevor S. about a pipe break in his front yard, we immediately understood the urgency of the situation. Water damage had forced him to dig up his walkway and even parts of his yard, leaving behind an unsightly and unusable space. Trevor was seeking a reliable solution to restore his front yard to its former glory, so he reached out to our team at Austin Landscaping and Construction.
The Challenge: A Disrupted Landscape
Trevor's front yard had been a pleasant space for him and his family, but the unexpected pipe break caused significant disruption. With the walkway dug up, the stairs in disrepair, and the lawn looking patchy, it was clear that this was more than just a simple landscaping job. Trevor needed a team that not only had the skills to fix the immediate issues but also the professionalism to manage the entire process smoothly.
As Trevor noted in his review:
> "I had a pipe break that forced me to dig up my walkway and front yard; Austin Landscaping helped me put everything back together. My job was small and relatively simple, but they provided a level of professionalism that other contractors were unwilling to provide."
Our Approach: Comprehensive Solutions
Understanding the full scope of what was required, our team jumped into action with a clear plan. We not only aimed to restore functionality but also to enhance the aesthetic appeal of Trevor's front yard. Here’s what we did:
1. Walkway Paving: We started by properly paving the walkway, ensuring it was both durable and visually appealing.
2. Stairs Repair: The stairs were carefully repaired to ensure safety and ease of access.
3. Hedge Trimming: Our team took the time to trim the hedges, giving them a clean and polished look.
4. Planting New Bushes: We selected and planted beautiful new bushes that fit well with the existing landscape.
5. Mulch Replacement: Finally, we stripped away the old mulch and replaced it with fresh material to provide a vibrant foundation for the new plantings.
Despite encountering unexpected conditions during the project, we quickly addressed them without derailing the overall cost or schedule. As a company committed to exceptional service and results, we kept communication open and transparent throughout the process, providing Trevor with a detailed proposal that included deposit and payment needs.
The Results: A Beautiful, Functional Space
When we completed our work, the transformation was stunning. Trevor’s front yard, once marred by the aftermath of a pipe break, was now a welcoming and well-maintained space. The newly paved walkway and repaired stairs not only improved accessibility but also added to the curb appeal of his home.
