**One star** because at no time during the sales consultation does anyone ask you if you have low-e windows. Found out the hard way the day before I had the turf installed when I put a sample in the perfect spot for it to get hit with a reflection from one of my low e windows. It melted a stripe into the turf immediately - 212 degrees according to my thermometer gun. Then I was sent by the project manager on a field trip to Home Depot to buy 'any type of interior film with a UV rating'. I did so, and it ended up being mirrored when I opened the package so that was time and money wasted as I did not want a mirrored look for my exterior windows. Then another project manager called me and said they were sending someone to install a film on the interior of my windows (7 windows in total). I asked why we were installing film on the inside if we were intending to stop the glare to the turf and got brushed off; everything I read in the day or so after I realized this was an issue indicates you need film on the outside of the window. The answer I got from both the company and the film installer was 'This will cut all glare' and it did no such thing. The film installer charged $1900 and did a really beautiful job on the install -- however no one asked me questions about what window film product I wanted, and I was not aware there are multiple to choose from. The particular film he applied without asking any questions lets 5% light through and it darkened (completely) what were previously the brightest rooms in my whole house. I love my natural light, so now have to pay to have someone uninstall the current film (which by the way voided my warranty on my low e double paned windows the second it was installed -- no one ever mentions this either!!). And now of course I have to pay another company to install the film on the outside -- something I asked about right at the beginning. These guys do a great job on the turf but if they know anything about what can happen to their product in most yards that have low e windows reflecting on them, they're sure quiet as mice about it during the contract finalization.

This would be a 5-star review had someone just told us during the sales consultation that this could be an issue...then we would have known, had time to decide -- but then we might not have locked in the contract so it's completely obvious why they do not make it part of their checks and balances at the beginning of the process with the customer. Which is dishonest essentially. After so much time in this business, they know it can happen.

Had a very nice experience with this company. Scheduled a free consultation online (easy and convenient) for the next morning. The estimator came on time, quickly measured the place where we needed the turf installation, answered our questions and left us some turf samples to choose from. Few hours later they emailed us a quote. We found it reasonable.
On the day scheduled for our project, the crew arrived on time, worked hard, and finished everything in five hours. We chose G.O.A.T. GOLD FLOW 98 OLIVE turf, which is very natural looking, and with faster drainage. Happy with the work and the turf quality. Highly recommend Bay Area Turf for your artificial grass installation.

Very, very pleased with Bay Area Turf and sister company, GOAT (Greatest of All Turf).

We bought a remnant of Silver 92 or 96 (I forget, 90-something) from GOAT a couple of years ago, to test in our backyard, and see how the dogs like it. We didn't add infill or anything, just laid it down like a throw rug. The dogs love it, and in direct sun most of the day, it doesn't get too hot. That was the test we needed.

Fast-forward to today: We had BAT come out to install GOAT on two occasions. Once in July, and again in August. We worked with Daniel both times. In 'stage 1' we wanted to cover an area in our backyard that already had lots of concrete slab in odd shapes. BAT had a very fair price and it wasn't much more than if I attempted to do it myself. It turned out great - which led us to decide we wanted GOAT for our stage 2 (side of the house with the new RV Pad).

In both installations, we went with Gold Flow 98 Olive with Zeofill pet-infill. Both jobs combined were about 600sqft, and each job was completed in one day. We've only had the turf a short period, but we love the look. The pets also have no issue walking on it at any time of day, and we've had some heat streaks here in Livermore. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness of lines, seams and detail work around my AC and water filtration system.

And just because, when the team was here to install the stage 2 section, they also, unprompted, blew away the leaves and power-broomed the turf installed in July. The turf is great, and the team is great to work with. I highly recommend.
