Bar and the team were fantastic in my kitchen and deck renovation. They are professional, responsive, and reasonably-priced. I'm thrilled with the results. They're the best! A+++.

I recently hired Bayside Builders Group for a renovation project. They did a commendable job. The work was completed on time, and their attention to detail was impressive. I'm satisfied with their service.

Bayside Builders is efficient, knowledgeable, and careful in their work. Jacob, the field manager, and Eric, the foreman, were both a pleasure to work with. Ours project was a major structural repair of a second story deck of over 1000 square feet. They were the best of all the companies who looked at the project at knowing what needed to be done. They worked diligently and ktpt me informed at every step of the way. Their bid was reasonable and straightforward and they accomplished the work as stated. I would definitely hire them again.

Bayside installed a used brick patio and walkway in our back yard in record time. Communication with the team made the job go very smoothly for everyone. The workmanship is excellent, a testament to the work ethic of everyone involved on Bayside's team. If you want professionalism, check out Bayside.

I do not recommend Bayside Builders Group of Alameda, CA (heretofore known as "the company") for your construction needs. Before discussing the problems that I had you should know that they offer discounts if you don't write a review. That alone should tell you something about the integrity of the company.
The company may seem very professional in initial discussions but they are not. Everything that they promised to include verbally, they did not include unless it iwas specifically stated in the contract. I tried over and over to have them put details into the contract. It was a simple cut and paste from what I sent them but they would simply say "Don't worry about it. We will do it for you" or "You have to understand we are construction workers, we don't know how to cut and paste". So if it's not in the contract the company will demand a change order and more money. They even demanded more money to put in extra 2x4 studs to support the siding something that the subcontractor actually paid for and was willing to do as part of the job.
Prior to contract signing the company's job managers talked about setting up a WhatsApp chat group which would include the company's two job managers, managers from the company's office as well as the job foreman. The problem with the chat group is that the company's job managers rarely responded to any of my texts and they were only on site for 10 minutes every week or two. Communication with them was sparse until they wanted to discuss change orders or collect a payment.
In early discussions they claimed that they had 60+ employees working out of their Alameda office. That was a major reason we went with this company and believed that they could at least replace our siding in 2-3 weeks as they had indicated. Well they don't have 60+ employees. This company is a general contractor with very few employees who hires subcontractors for what appears to be all of their construction work. What's worse is that they don't seem to know a lot about building construction. One of our job managers had absolutely no construction knowledge. When I wanted to change the size of a rough opening on a gable of our house their "experienced" job manager said that he could not do it because it was structural. It wasn't. He thinks that putting fiber cement siding underground is OK to do even though the manufacturer says that it is not rated for below grade, voids the warranty, and that fiber cement siding can absorb moisture and turn to mush. The same job manager made ridiculous drainage suggestions that luckily the sub contractor laughed off and ignored.
So our 2-3 week project turned into a 10 week project. A major part of the delay was the company's delay in ordering materials which included doors and a small window. I repeatedly reminded various people in the company about ordering the doors and window since one of the units was a French door with side windows. This is almost always a special order taking a month or much longer to obtain.
Then the company claimed that the rear door was not included in the contract even though the contract stated that all material was included. I had also texted several times about their buying of the door in the Whatsapp chat and they never tried to correct me, rather they just ignored me.
They also claimed that the rebuild of a rear staircase was not included in the contract even though the contract stated that the rear staircase would be repaired and replaced. There was not much that could be repaired as the rear staircase was literally falling apart during it's use by the subcontracted workers during the project. At this point I was so frustrated with dealing with the company that, just wanting them out of my life, I agreed to pay for the rear door, and that they just needed to provide material for the staircase. I believe that I could have fought these items but the job managers infuriated me so much, that I just wanted the company's involvement in the project to end as soon as possible so that I would never have to see or talk to these people ever again.
There many more complaints that I want to write about but can't because of limits on Yelp review. lengths.

We had our ADU staircase, kitchenette and washer/dryer hookups done by Bayside. During the recent atmospheric river downpour here in San Ramon our staircase leaked wreaking havoc to the stairs waterproof material and thus water leaked inside our garage walls and floors. Bayside was our second contractor to see the water damage after the first contractor rejected the service possibly due to the dry mold that ensued due to the water leak. After seeing the damage and the construction service we requested for Bayside to demo and install a new staircase, kitchenette and washer/dryer hookups for our ADU we all agreed to a price that works for us. We are happy we selected Bayside because Bayside really makes sure that all our worrisome concerns are taken care of with the right price. Thank you Ron, Paulo, Roberto for a great job well done! Kudos to the entire Bayside staff and partners our ADU stairs leak issue are all behind us and we look forward for many years of pleasant memories enjoying our new ADU modern staircase, kitchenette and washer/dryer appliances!
