Transforming Plumbing & HVAC Solutions
Transforming Plumbing & HVAC Solutions
At Belk Heating and Cooling, we take pride in enhancing the comfort and functionality of homes in Austin, TX, and surrounding areas. Recently, we had the opportunity to assist a homeowner in Burnet, who needed to address some significant plumbing and HVAC issues in their older house.
Understanding Their Challenges
Our client reached out to us with concerns about the leaky plumbing in their home. A prior plumbing company had quoted a staggering $22,000 to resolve the issues, which would still leave considerable drywall damage for them to handle. With the worry of expensive repairs looming, they sought our help for a more efficient and budget-friendly solution.
Our Approach to the Project
Upon assessing the situation, our team was determined to provide a cost-effective resolution without compromising quality. We executed a thorough inspection and identified the necessary repairs and replacements while prioritizing the preservation of the existing structure and plumbing where possible.
- We meticulously repaired and replaced only the necessary components.
- The addition of a sink cabinet was done ingeniously, utilizing the existing plumbing to prevent unnecessary costs and renovations.
- Our skilled technicians ensured that all the work performed adhered to the highest standards, guaranteeing that the plumbing would be leak-free and up to code.
This careful planning allowed us to save our client an incredible $18,000 compared to the initial bid, all while achieving excellent results. With proper strapping and sealing, the plumbing in their home was restored to full functionality.
Enhancing the HVAC System
Not only did we tackle the plumbing, but we also addressed the client's HVAC needs. Following the successful plumbing repairs, we proceeded to replace the water heater, ensuring reliable hot water access. Furthermore, we strategically added return ducts for HVAC in every bedroom, significantly improving air circulation throughout the home.
One notable enhancement was the removal of a noisy air intake from the main hallway, which had previously hampered their comfort. After our intervention, our clients were thrilled to find that they could now hold quiet conversations without the distraction of loud air conditioning.
> "Overall, they saved us $18k and the results are good. Our plumbing is strapped, leak free, and up to code. Since that time, Belk has replaced the water heater and added return ducts for the HVAC to every bedroom..." — Past Customer

Smart Plumbing and HVAC Upgrades
Smart Plumbing and HVAC Upgrades
At Belk Heating and Cooling, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional HVAC solutions and plumbing upgrades tailored specifically to our clients' needs. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Ceferino Lamb, who sought our expertise for significant renovations at his home in Burnet.
Before: Challenges with Plumbing and HVAC
Ceferino approached us after receiving a bid from another local plumbing company for $22,000. This quote was alarming, especially as it still left the prospect of additional drywall work. The existing plumbing in Ceferino's older home was leaky, causing him frustration and concern about potential water damage. In addition to plumbing issues, the home's HVAC system had a noisy air intake that disrupted conversations during operation.
Our Solution: Tailored Upgrades and Repairs
Our team set to work with a comprehensive, cost-effective plan that respected the historical nature of the home while ensuring modern efficiency. We focused on:
1. Repairing and Replacing Plumbing: Instead of tearing out walls as suggested by the previous contractor, we identified key areas that needed attention and made targeted repairs and replacements. This strategic approach not only preserved the integrity of the home but also saved Ceferino a substantial $18,000.
2. Enhancing Efficiency: We added a sink cabinet that utilized existing plumbing, further integrating modern features while minimizing costs.
3. Optimizing HVAC Performance: Following the plumbing upgrades, we proceeded to replace the water heater and installed return ducts for the HVAC system in every bedroom. This improvement allowed for a more efficient distribution of cool air and contributed to a quieter environment by removing the noisy air intake from the main hallway.
After: Results and Client Satisfaction
Ceferino was thrilled with the results of our work. His plumbing is now strapped, leak-free, and fully up to code, providing peace of mind to him and his family. The quiet operation of the upgraded HVAC system allows for comfortable conversations without constant noise interruptions – a significant improvement over the previous setup.
