We just bought our house a couple months ago and it came with an ancient furnace. We had it serviced and then called Better Air NW to do the duct cleaning. They were not the lowest quote we got but they seemed to have really good reviews so we went with them anyway and were glad that we did!

I know nothing about furnaces and Sean was great about explaining what he was doing as he went along. He pointed out the quirks of our old furnace and easy ways that we could work with/around them. He was efficient and finished in less time than had originally been estimated. He and his partner were also very respectful of our home and cleaned up everything before they left.

Later that day, though, after Sean had left, we noticed that our fan had not turned off (and our heat had not turned on) since the Better Air team had finished. We called Better Air and they were extremely nice about it and said they would send Sean back out the next day. When Sean was stuck at another job and unavailable, one of the owner's, Justin, called and said that he would be able to come by instead. It turned out that our gas switch had just been accidentally bumped to off at some point and Justin was quickly able to get our furnace running again. However, before the problem was discovered, Justin said that they would even pay for a service tech to come out if they were unable to fix it themselves.

The next time we need our furnace ducts cleaned I will definitely call Better Air NW. Everyone I spoke with on the phone or met in person was incredibly nice and friendly. And it is so reassuring to know that a company will go above and beyond to get the job done right!

They weren't the least expensive, but they had the best reviews across the board so i had Better Air NW come out and clean my vents. It became apparent pretty quickly why they were the best.

A little history: We bought the house a couple of years ago and had no idea if the vents had ever been cleaned so we were expecting that they were pretty dingy. We also have a dog & a cat that track in all sorts of grime and shed like crazy. We weren't expecting how terribly dirty the ducts really were.

When they arrived they were kind enough to remove their shoes without being asked. They stared right in with their industrial HEPA filter vac thing and getting on their hands and knees scrubbing all the vent openings with a metal brillow like thing. They really took their time cleaning every foot of the ducts and cleaning out the furnace. Jason was even kind enough to settle my disgusting curiosity and show me what the HEPA filter picked up on round 1 and round 2, a pic of the before and after pics of our main vent and some of the junk the vac picked up. Among the more interesting finds were food stuffs, a melted crayon, actual trash, lots of coins and curtain rings (this in addition to tons of dust, dirt and pet hair). After seeing all the gunk, I began to wonder how air was even getting through.

It was a very friendly 2 man crew and it took them nearly 4 hours for my just under 2,000 sq ft home. After all that time, effort & serious elbow grease I felt like $325 was more than reasonable! I know my ducts and vents wouldn't have gotten nearly as clean with the cut rate service the other companies I received quotes from were offering.

Just had our system cleaned today. Gas heat & central AC unit. They were on time, professional, and did a great job. Final price was same as quote...no surprises.

They did a fantastic job and walked me through the entire process so I knew what they would be doing. The vents weren't all that dirty surprisingly but I'm glad I had it done and would use them again in the future.

We recently bought our first house and while the house is great the ducts were anything but. Filled with piles of dog hair, dust, and debris, the ole pipes were cranking out some nasty air.

He even showed us the nasty piles of duct work poo that would have otherwise ended up in our lungs. Nothing like knowing that your money is well spent=)

His service went far beyond what we expected (and I have to admit I expected quite a bit based on my conversation with Justin) and we look forward to calling Jason and giving him the report in person. Give these guys a call and get your ducts cleaned!
