This business wasted my time for months, yes MONTHS.

I contacted them back in March about getting an appointment to fix a Daikin heat pump. I took pictures of the model number and read them to them over the phone and verified they serviced them, because I had had trouble finding people who serviced that brand. I know I did this because I went back through my phone and found my notes and photos from the time after my final call with the company left me wondering what I had communicated.

They had scheduled an appointment with me back in March only to have the technician contact me at the last minute to tell me they couldn't service my unit until the temperature was 70 degrees or higher due to the need to have the heat pump test its cooling feature. That seemed reasonable and due to the problem of predicting the weather I decided to wait. I waited over a month and based on historical averages of temperature data going back years I tried scheduling another appointment for later in the Spring/early summer. Finally when the weather was definitely above 70 I tried calling and was told that I could not be scheduled because they were "working through their backlog." Um, hello? I WAS PART OF YOUR BACKLOG!

Finally after several more calls and back-and-forths across several weeks I got a hold of someone who then told me they don't service my Daikin heat pump because they don't service those products. The lady I spoke with seemed friendly and because she took a few minutes to find Daikin contractors on the internet I am giving 2 stars, it was going to be 1 star.

I didn't see anything on their "claimed" yelp page about not servicing Daikin. The lady I spoke with also admitted to me that even if I hadn't told them the brand and model info (which I obviously had), they should have asked for/verified it anyway, so either way they would have been at fault.

There was no offer for a discount or anything to make this right, they did ask vaguely if there was "anything else they could help with" but I am not going to beg for recompense for all the trouble they put me through. Clearly they think this is an acceptable way to do business.

If you do decide to use these people, make sure you send them all your device info including brand and model number and get them to PROMISE IN WRITING that they will service your equipment, otherwise you might wind up wasting your time and get stuck in a heat wave or cold snap with no help.

The Better Air crew was the best I've ever worked with. We needed our gas furnace replaced, and after a very knowledgeable consultation with Justin Brunsch and based on our needs and desires we decided to install the new furnace and upgrade with a heat pump and additional filters to combat what seems to be a recurring fire season. The crew was exceptionally professional, conscientious and courteous. They went above and beyond on all accounts (even threw in an extra gas line modification for no charge!). They explained exactly what they were going to do and dealt with my questions and comments with smiles on their faces. The entire experience was fantastic. I can't recommend the Better Air NW team more highly.

They were scheduled to clean the heating and dryer ducts and vents. However, even thought it had been at least 5 years since the heating ducts were last cleaned, when they opened the access ports, they found it was not in need of cleaning. I was surprised, but they showed me how clean it was. So, they just did the dryer duct and vent for the same price as if they had done the full job. I'm very happy that they were up front about it!

I'd use them again!

We have had a nightmare experience with Better Air NW. They began a job to install furnace and heat pump last October. After putting the furnace and heat pump in the electrician said he would have to disconnect our hot tub to hook up heat pump. This was never part of the plan. Before they ever started they assured us our electrical panel was fine. The electrician said he forgot to check the panel because he had just had to move his elderly parent.
First problem. Then they said to put the intake vent in they would have to move our water heater. Then suggested we buy a tankless water heater. Next thing a tankless water heater won't work and we can't move your water heater.
So we have air conditioner that kind of works but not like it should since there is only one intake vent in the basement and nothing upstairs, a disconnected hot tub, a hole in our wood floor and a vent grate to nothing so second hole in the wall.
I don't understand how they have such great reviews.

Fantastic service from Better Air NW. We recently moved into our first home that no central air and only electric heating. Really expensive in the winter and the house was already getting very warm just from the brighter weather.

Matthew worked with us from the start, asking what we wanted to achieve and offered suggestions for a ductless HVAC system that'd keep things cool but give us more efficient heat in winter, then provided a quote to install it for five rooms that was competitively priced. They installed the whole system in just two days! Matthew in particular worked with drywall and electrical contractors to make sure additional work was coordinated so the whole procezs was seamless.

I was also pleased with the attention to detail. All exterior pipe work and wiring is neatly covered and has been run through the crawlspace.

The crew on site were also really nice and took appropriate covid precautions as well, using masks and maintaing distance where possible.

I've had need for two different repairs this year on a 30 year old furnace. The person on the phone was very pleasant and helpful, and got me scheduled much more quickly than I expected, given that the Temps outside are dropping fast. They also made sure I had the same tech for both visits so he would already familiar with my system and not have to start from scratch!

Nick S. Was great. I got a notice via text when he was on the way which included a link so I could see, in real time, where he was at. When he arrived, he was friendly and professional, and masked up before knocking. I know bits and pieces of electrical wiring as well as mechanical equipment and I could tell he knew his stuff. He was able to trace the problem in the wiring and components, and was able to repair what could be repaired and replace what burned out for LESS THAN TEN PERCENT of what the sketchy, nightmare company my home warranty had chosen to send out. They had said it was unrepairable and would need to replace the furnace as well as make a thousand dollars worth of modifications to my home. They were either incompetent, or trying to take advantage of me. Either one is bad news.

When it turned out that my furnace didn't have a feature so really wanted, NICK FIGURED OUT HOW TO ADD IT! That was my second visit. Same experience: speedy scheduling, professional behavior, and friendly people.

With two out of two knocked out of the park, there's no way I'd go to anyone else.
