We have used many contractors but our experience and our friend's experience (who referred Everest to us) agree that Medi's experience with natural stone fabricating, cutting, supporting, matching, etc. sets his work apart from all others. Examples of Medi's functional and artistic visions employed on our countertops include hiding metal bars between the wood underlayment for extended island overhang, reinforcing narrow quartzite sections with metal bar recessed into the quartzite, miter cutting at 45 degrees to create consistent bookend pattern matching and 5.7cm thick flat edges, waterfall bookend pattern matching and wrap-around window sills and counter edges. Anybody who is consider hiring a natural stone fabricator needs one that not only has years of stone experience, but also one that has an artistic vision and Medi at Everest Granite is that person. If you don't hire Medi, my guess is you will wind up with edges that show inconsistent veining instead of bookmarked edges,, higher risk of breakage in narrow areas, and smaller overhang allowances. My experience with Everest from quote to scheduling, to completion was fantastic and I highly recommend them. From professionalism to politeness to finished results, you will not be disappointed!

Medi and his team are lifesavers! During our remodel the designated countertop contractor disappeared on us. To make matters worse we were set to host a reception dinner for our wedding in 10 days! Thankfully a family friend recommended Medi. Medi was at my home immediately and took charge of the situation. He was professional, always on time and honest. Medi not only got the countertops in before our wedding, he did it 2 days earlier than he quoted us. If that wasn’t already enough, he added design touches that we never even thought of that made our kitchen look even nicer! Of course, we are very grateful that Medi saved our wedding reception but even if that wasn’t on the line, I would absolutely recommend Medi to anyone.

Our kitchen, laundry room and family room were affected by a water leak. Contractor was going to do everything, but thank God we got the granite work broken off. Medi was recommended by the granite shop. He stopped by immediately to talk with us, discuss what he could do, what we might want from him, gave us ideas and measured our work site. His bid was in our email the following morning. He was patient as we asked questions for clarification and understanding and then made our decision. Anytime we had (or have) a question from the first day he met us until today, he answers or texts immediately or lets you know he is with a client and will get back to you as soon as he is done. He follows through with those promises. He also checks on the progress of your work by showing up and talking to you and the crew throughout your project. He is always kind, considerate, professional, and extremely knowledgeable on what he does, the products he uses and what he sells. He will give you places to look for fixtures and purchase them at his discount if possible. We were so happy with the original work, we added on a couple smaller projects. Our job entailed removing old granite from the kitchen, fireplace, pony wall, laundry room and we added a large bar area beyond our water leak repair. While that work was being done, we had him add a large family room counter top, a small bathroom counter and an end cabinet piece which we should have done originally. He was patient while we decided on reworking bookcases, deciding on bathroom and bar sink fixtures and waited for their arrival 6 weeks later. He even made a couple extra trips to meet with us and the cabinet guy to help us decide. The crew that did our work was on time, courteous, neat, diligent and professional. If I had a question, either they or I would contact Medi who would talk me through the question and then usually show up on site a short while later. He honestly cares about his work, crew, reputation and how you feel about all of it. He even fixed a leak caused by old plumbing when one of the sinks was removed. It just happened he was here and offered to help since it was late in the day and my husband needed to go to work. He goes above and beyond to make you happy with his work. His work is top notch, beautiful and well done! He has an eye for fabrication and using the beauty of your chosen medium to enhance the beauty of the area!
