Imagine finding out your sewer line is clogged on a Friday afternoon. I called my home warranty company, they assigned a vendor, I called them and was told they couldn't make it out to my house until Monday afternoon. Which means no toilets, no dishwasher, no clothes washer no showers etc.
So I thought things though and decided to cancel the service call and pay myself for another plumber, thinking that if I was lucky I could get someone out on Saturday. It's now 3:30 pm.
I did my homework on Yelp and found a plumber with enough ratings and found Chase Plumbing who have a 4.9 rating. Eric picked up on the first ring and told me that since it was late Friday afternoon , he could try to help, but the only guy he had that could come did not have a snake truck, but one with a hydrojet, which does a better job on sewer lines, but is more expensive (though honestly not that much). I said yes do the hydrojet, and he said Andrew would try to arrive by 5pm.
So far, great guy, price quote that didn't change and I'm getting it fixed the same afternoon. So imagine my surprise when Andrew shows up 20 minutes after my call, smile on his face and ready to go. Within an hour tops, the sewer line is open and flowing great. BTW, Eric said, and I later confirmed, that hydrojet is definitely superior to snaking a line. It can get through clogs and tear up roots in the line better and it also opens up the full opening more often than a snake will. Snakes often only bore an opening the diameter of the blades on the end of the snake. The company my home warranty company sent out 4 months ago (and the one assigned this time) snaked the line and that obviously didn't cut it. That company also tried to sell me some unnecessary repairs. I gave Andrew a well-deserved tip (something I always recommend when you get great customer service). He also did a great job of not messing up the garden or squashing the plants in the area of the clean out. And the drains flow better than they have in a long time, and I'm careful about what goes down the drain. My home is 25 years old and I've had no plumbing issues up to now. To summarize:

I absolutely would call them for any plumbing needs, because they earned my trust, based on their work and the lack of a sales pitch to do more unnecessary work. I expect that my experience with them was typical, based on the reviews on their Yelp page.

During Thanksgiving weekend one of my tenants had a toilet that suddenly ran constantly and the water input valve would not turn off the water. I called several plumbers, and either the call was never returned, or they could not schedule the repair for several days. I contacted CalTek Plumbing at 9:45 on Saturday and the toilet and the valve were repaired by 230. My tenant was thrilled. Happy tenant/Happy landlord!

Had an issue with a clogged Storm Drain in our side yard. Contacted Chase and Eric was extremely informative and helpful from the get-go. He provided an immediate quote over the phone for hydro-jetting and was transparent with the breakdown in costs. He wasted no time in providing their availability. Got them scheduled for the following morning and their tech, Andrew, arrived promptly along with a text notification when he was 20mins out. Andrew was efficient and took care of business making a point to flush every point of entry to clear the drain. They did discover that the line was more than just clogged with dirt, so we're having them provide an estimate to investigate and repair it. Eric also came by personally to assess the situation as well as taking a look at some interior fixture issues we were experiencing. When it came to invoicing, Eric was very reasonable with the final cost, and didn't charge for the courtesy time spent assessing the other problems and talking me through each one. Looking forward to using them again!

Chase saved the day! We experienced a random rupture underneath our kitchen sink with water flowing everywhere. I called Chase, and Eric calmly walked me through shutting off the main line and also helped troubleshoot. Once it was clear our issue could not be resolved over the phone Eric was kind enough to fit us into their schedule which was packed from coming back after the holidays. The appointment window was about 2.5 hours away, and to our surprise Eric arrived in a little over 1.5 hours from when I spoke to him!

Eric quickly and thoroughly assessed the situation and was clear in his explanation as to why the issue happened and how to remedy it. He quickly fixed the worn down valves and was also nice enough with his remaining time to advise us with another plumbing issue we had in our guest room.

We appreciated Eric's professionalism, kind personality, and reassuring demeanor in what was a chaotic and worrisome situation for us in our home. Thank you so much! We will not hesitate to give Chase a call for any future plumbing issues!
