after four previous svc calls w/ OTHER repair places, including gas company, Cloud Comfort's tech [Skylar] was "breath of fresh air". he was punctual, friendly, skilled & wore shoe booties inside :) he effectively diagnosed the wall unit - which needed an adjustment not expensive part - & saved my elderly relative time & money... thank U, Skylar & Cloud Comfort!!

Everything was wonderful. For the price of the system I would expect a device to open and close the vents

The twenty year-old HVAC unit broke in my townhouse. The Home Warranty people set me up with one contractor but, after struggling to have them answer my most basic questions, I decided to buy a new system. After talking to a few HVAC companies we decided to got for the Daikin Fit (it's quiet, energy efficient and small).
My experience with Cloud Comfort has been exceptional. I first spoke to Cord who was happy to answer all my tech questions (even at the weekend). It then took about a week to schedule the installation which went very smoothly (thanks to Kevin and Francisco). Throughout, they were happy to answer all my questions and were very diligent, staying until late in the evening to finish the job. For example, they bubble wrapped the air-handler closet, installed a cover over the p-trap, and put two levels of vibration protection on condenser; I can't imagine many other contractors going above and beyond like this. After, I had a small issue (the p-trap didn't have enough water and was making a noise); the main office was very communicative and scheduled Schuyler to come out and address the issue. They also offer an annual maintenance plan, which is good value.
Overall, I found them to be very friendly and trustworthy, and am happy to recommend them unreservedly.

I had an interesting experience with this company and felt a review would be good for others to simply explain my experience. I go to Yelp often for reviews so I feel leaving one is paying back. Here goes:
I was having issues with my Heater staying on, I called this company to assist. When I scheduled my appointment I told them I needed an appointment that would accommodate a time of 4pm-6pm because of my work hours. The scheduler advised that would be no problem (great!). The day of the scheduled appointment I was called and told the technician would arrive at 2pm, I told the office gal Maryland I couldn't be there until at least 4pm because I work, she then told me they would need to reschedule, I asked why because I specifically made this appointment at 4pm? She said the technician was done early therefore if I couldn't meet him (within 30 mins) we would need to reschedule. I told her never mind as I made an appointment for 4pm for a reason and I'd find another company who could accommodate my schedule. We hung up, she called me back and said management made an "exception" for me and he could meet me at 4pm. I brushed it off, thinking "exception?", I scheduled this a few days prior specifically advising 4pm is the earliest...Anyways, it was winter, I'm cold so again I brushed it off and went ahead with the appointment.
My technician Julian arrives and within a few minutes he tells me my heater coil needs to be replaced and it was going to cost $795. I googled heater coil replacement cost, the price of $795 was in range with this repair (google it yourself), so I paid the required 10% upfront and he was on his way. The next day Julian called me, said he had the part and asked if he could meet me earlier than 4pm to install it, I was excited to finally have heat so I obliged and met him at his desired time. He then installed the part and in minutes he was out. Prior to him leaving I asked the office to send me a receipt. After reviewing the receipt I noticed what was installed was not a heater coil, but a furnace ignitor which is much less of a cost (again, google it.) Annoyed that I was over priced but happy to have heat I ignored this because what do we do as non-HVAC experts?? We pay a premium.. well, unfortunately two days later my furnace didn't work. I called the company early Saturday morning. Maryland and Julian did work well to accommodate same day arrival to assess the situation (hence why I'm giving 3 stars). At this point I brought up the initial cost and part difference to the office, after a conversation with the technician Julian and the office they told me because of my trouble they would return 10% of my cost. Julian was able to fix my heater the second time which I was grateful for but this company never did returned the 10% as promised.
After two weeks my heater stopped working again, I called the office, they sent a new technician named Tony who was very knowledgeable and advised the issue was unrelated to the first and pointed out one of my vents was not up to code. He verbally quoted me $320 to fix that vent. He also quoted me a twice a year service which I thought was a good option, and wondered why Julian didn't mention that.. I asked this time for the office to send me the invoice first so I could review, having learned my lesson from my first instance (being under stress from the cold and paying before I got an actual invoice to I could properly assess the quote.) Tony left, I received an emailed invoice from the office for the Dual Wall Vent Pipe and the cost was $625.50!! I told the office that's not what was verbally quoted to me!
Long story short, I do believe the company is ran by overall good people, however I took a star off for the service from my initial appointment time change but then accommodated with an "exception" and the non-refund of the 10% as promised. I also feel Julian should have taken more time initially to make sure my furnace worked properly because that would have avoided the second trip to my home on a Saturday.. Also, still to this day I have not been refunded the 10% as I was told. Next, I took a star off because of the parts and price difference each time: initially the part difference in verbal vs the quote and second the verbal price vs the invoice price.
Regarding the Dual Wall Vent Pipe, I had a different company quote me for that, they quoted me $420.

Thank you Tony for coming out and taking care of our heater system. Also advised us to put carbon monoxide detectors along the bottom of our house and explained why. (Especially we have two young ones) We have some but they are higher up. Appreciate him helping us out.
