After a horrible experience with contractors for our extension, we wanted a company that were both skilled at the technical as well as project management and communication. CORE hit every mark. They were knowledgeable, efficient, clear and provided solutions and just problems. We highly recommend Core Outdoor living. Out patio looks beautiful.

We used Core Outdoor Living to design and install our outdoor patio back in 2015. Daren Langhorne was extremely helpful and responsive during the design process. They met all the timelines they had laid out for us during the proposal process. The end product transformed our backyard. We couldn't have been any happier with how the whole process unfolded.

Fast forward to 2023. We're having a pool contractor install a pool in our backyard. The contractor is attempting to match the existing pavers to the extended pool deck. I reached out to Daren to see if he could provide me with the materials that we used in 2015. Not only did Daren remember me, he was quickly able to provide me with the materials we used, offer expert advice, and refer me to material distributors to find the product. This was all out of goodwill, as Core Outdoor isn't supporting our renovation product.

We just completed a new screened in porch with Core and it was the easiest and most thorough contractor I have ever worked with. We have used a lot of contractors over the years and Core Outdoor is by far the best! They are responsive and professional, very willing to help and most importantly their communication is top notch. We always knew what to expect and when! They told us they could complete our project in 3 weeks, and they did it in 2 weeks! We love the product, our screened porch is possibly our new favorite room of the house! Highly, highly recommend Core Outdoor for your next outdoor project!

Core was seamless, professional and timely from start to finish. We hired them to refinish our deck and build a new patio with a seating ledge and integral lighting. Core redid a small area of the project that wasn't to our liking without question or cost to us - and finished it within a day. Their customer service and attention to detail is top-notch; I couldn't recommend them more highly - great value for the cost!

Our experience with Core Outdoor Living was THE BEST. Our 1987 house had a standard wooden deck in the back. Core completely redesigned our outdoor living space so that in place of the deck we now have a beautiful, large screened-in porch, an adjacent deck for grilling, and stairs down to a gorgeous stone patio with sitting wall and fire pit area. The design team, the construction crew, the stone masons, the electricians, and the dynamic and efficient project manager were all outstanding. Core is on the higher end of the price scale, but it is worth every penny, because with the outdoor addition we have greatly enhanced the value of our house. In short, Core gives you craftsman level construction. It is simply perfect, down to the smallest detail. We HIGHLY recommend them.

Engaging and working with Core Outdoor Living has been one of the few pleasant contracting experiences we have had with a home project. How often can one say that? And all thanks to the amazing team at Core Outdoor.

We had done our own research, talked to a few firms, and had narrowed down to Core. Unfortunately, when we were ready they were super busy. So when we went to contact them, their website clearly informed us that they were busy and were not accepting projects until late in 2022 fall. This is the first time we have seen such clear information on the company website. Rather than just accept jobs, and then not deliver on time, as some other firms, this clarity helped. Although disappointed we had to wait we put our name for the waitlist. In summer, Core called us and said they can schedule us for wall and if we are willing to be flexible they will start when it best fits their workload, which worked out for us as Core offered us a discount for being flexible.

Right from the start we knew that waiting for Core was the right choice. The co-founder of the firm is the one who handled the proposal. This was one of the most clearly written proposal we have ever seen for a home project. Every sub-part of the job - demolition, frame, flooring, patio, railing, etc. was clearly separated and priced. Every option that we were still debating was listed separately and priced. They also listed every option that could potentially save us money. Daren answered so many of our questions patiently and went through 4-5 iterations of proposal without once pushing us to sign quickly.

One of the key elements we wanted were a cable railing. However, given the length of the deck, a horizontal cable railing wasn't a feasible option. Initially, we were disappointed that we couldn't get a cable railing and had settled with the standard railing. In the background, however, Daren and Steve (PM), kept working to find an alternative solution for us. They eventually found a new product, which is a vertical cable railing system. They did all the research for us and reached out to explain how this alternative would work. In the end they made the right call and we are extremely pleased! The Core Outdoor team really has customer satisfaction and experience as their ethos.

The actual construction was done just like the experience thus far. Professional, clean, on-time, and quality construction. The co-owner Jeff was on the site everyday working with the crew. When the owner is on site for 4-5 weeks everyday doing the cutting, installing, you know there is pride in the work and ownership. The construction looks great and everything is fastened with screws; no nail gun blasting here. Screws take time - especially given the size of the deck - but that's just another detail that shows the quality of work from this team. After the work was done, and our friends visited us, even they commented on how every cut in the floor board and wooden piece has routered edge...small details that take time make the difference. Lastly, we had our patio redone as well and we have never seen anyone lay the foundation and every stone with such immaculate precision as Mike did.

The only hiccup in this entire project was a third party's fault. The truck driver from the company that brought and picked up the construction dumpster, couldn't navigate the driveway and got stuck in the front-lawn and left a massive gash. Daren and Steve, however, were very apologetic - even though it wasn't their fault - and have promised to remedy it in the Spring.

Apologies for the lengthy review, but this was a very plesant experience and the end product has turned out be exceptional. We highly recommend Core Outdoor Living!! They are worth the wait!!
