I am glad to write this review about Joe and his buddies from Davis Plumbing. Joe is the owner of Davis Plumbing. I currently have electric stove in my home and wanted that to be replaced to gas. this is something we always wanted to do from the time we bought the home. When the right time came I called Joe from Davis Plumbing for an estimate. Joe was prompt on time, professional, polite,respectful, and very knowledgeable. He heard my ideas and provided his, which worked out great than mine. His price was very fair. How do i know this. I had three other outfit price the same scope and let me tell you Davis Plumbing was the cheapest of three and the price made me feel Joe is fair.
Scheduled Joe to perform work between 9/29 to 9/30. Matt and James from Davis Plumbing along with Joe showed up to work promptly at 8:30 am on 9/29/14. Just like Joe his team was also professional, polite, friendly, and respectful. They went about with their work with extreme care and detail. Joe walked us through the plan, Matt and James executed the plan precisely and Matt improvised on it as he went along. The quality of the work was awesome no complaints. They ran into day three but that was ok with me as they took their time to do the work and didn't hurry the job. They tested the line for 30 PSI for 45 min well more than what was required by the Code.

Joe also had the line painted in the same color as the exterior walls so that the pipe will blend with the walls and wont stick out. On the underground work they used galvanized pipe with epoxy coating. Matt also added an extra valve inside the cabinet as he was installing so that we can close the line if needed during our long vacation days.

on the underground section of the work which ran right next to my access door i was concerned about safety of the line. I requested Joe to bury the underground section of the pipe in slurry for added protection which was a change in plan but he did that without much hesitation.
When the work was done they left the work area just as it was before they started. Great house keeping. have attached some pictures of the work as it happened and the end product.

I mentioned in my first line of my review to Davis plumbing team as "Joe and his Buddies" because I could feel that comradery between them. Working in construction myself I strongly believe an employer that takes care of his employees will always take care of his customers.

Bottom line will definitely call Davis Plumbing for all my plumbing requirements in the future and will recommend them to all my friends and family.

We dealt with Matt today. We had an outdoor, but house water - OFF situation. Me and my wife were extrenely pleased with our interactions with the Davis plumber, Matt. He was efficient at rendering our repair, and took the time (WHILE WORKING!!!) to explain the faulty repairs prior to his arrival. He gave me choices on materials to complete the repair, along with $$ comments while explaning. I left it to his judgement, and he then explained each of his choices and WHY. The final cost turned out to be a smidge below our estimate. But the takehome message is that - right on target, based on our internet research. We will call these guys without hesitation in the future. I recommend them to the readers.......

When it was time to pay, they preferred a check. But would not have refused a credit card. Overall -- a good interaction.

Davis Plumbing is simply... AWESOME! We have a home with OLD plumbing and apparently stainless steel or something, when they went in to repair pipes, the pipes literally fell apart in their hands. Matthew, one of the plumbers, is awesome and super funny, and he will happily show you the pipes that break apart or crud he finds, which is entertaining to say the least. ((I do know I do not want to be a plumber after this experience, but so glad they are). I have new copper pipes now, I have tankless water heater that even the guy from PGE said was installed beautifully and I have a plumber for life (hopefully, don't retire Joe, the world of plumbing needs you). I spoke with about five plumbers and the first time he showed up, calm, ready to work and fearless I knew I was going to hire him. His prices are fair and his quote was accurate. Paying him to do the work he did was a pleasure because it was done right, everything was explained and it was done relatively quickly for the amount of work that had to be done.

Eventually, we will need new pipes underground, Joe will be the first that I call. If you have plumbing issues, call him and his team, they will take care of anything you need and make you laugh while doing it, that's a WIN!

We have used them twice for two different jobs and both times they did excellent work. The first job was a sprinkler leak that we got multiple bids for. Davis plumbing was much more reasonable than all the rest. Our sprinkler job turned out to be way more complicated than they thought, but Joe and his crew kept with it and solved the problem. Plus, they kept the price exactly at the estimate. We called them later for an emergency main line back up, which also turned out to be ridiculously complicated due to the nature of our house and piping as well as the absence of a main drain clean out. They worked for 2 days, and even had to pull up part of our driveway to install a clean out. They kept with it until the problem was fixed with Joe personally running all the other guys' calls to make sure we had a full crew here to get our drains back in working condition ASAP. I was pretty scared to get that bill since it was an emergency call coming up on a holiday weekend with full crews working for 2 days. We just got it the other day, though, and Joe again was honest and reasonable. I would highly recommend them....although, I don't want them to get too much busier. What if we have another emergency?? I don't want to have to call anyone else!

I have used Davis Plumbing on a few occassions, and they never cease to amaze me with the quality of their service. I take pride in using local small biz for services on my home, and Davis Plumbing is among the best in Walnut Creek. Kenny hooked up my gas grill to the gas line that Joe Davis installed a couple of years ago, and when I came home it was done perfectly and very neatly. I will continue to use them for other services that I will need in the near future. Thanks guys!!!
