TV Mounting & Furniture Assembly Success
At Dean Can Fix It, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional handyman services tailored to the needs of our clients. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Julie Higgins who sought our expertise for some home improvement tasks that she found challenging: mounting a large TV and assembling new furniture.
The Challenge Before Us
Julie reached out to us feeling overwhelmed with her mounting project, as well as the assembly of some new furniture pieces. These tasks can be daunting, especially without the right tools or experience, leading to frustration and potential damage to both the items and the walls. She needed a reliable solution that would ensure both her TV and furniture were securely and properly set up.
Our Approach to the Solution
When we arrived at Julie's home, our team was ready to tackle the job efficiently. We began with the TV mounting. Our skilled handyman evaluated the wall type and determined the best mounting brackets for optimal security and visibility. Using professional-grade tools, we precisely measured and ensured everything was lined up perfectly before drilling.
Next, we shifted our focus to the furniture assembly. Julie had some ready-to-assemble furniture that required careful handling to avoid damage. With our expertise, we meticulously followed the instructions, ensuring everything was assembled correctly and safely.
Overcoming Challenges
During this project, we faced the common challenge of varying wall materials. However, our experience allowed us to adapt quickly. We used appropriate anchors and screws to ensure that the TV mount was safely secured, enabling Julie to confidently enjoy her new setup.
The Transformation After Our Work
Once we completed both tasks, Julie was thrilled with the results. The TV was mounted securely, providing an excellent viewing angle, and her new furniture was perfectly assembled, enhancing the aesthetics of her living space.
> "I had a wonderful experience with Dean Sala. He showed up on time and did a great job with mounting my large TV and putting the feet on some new furniture. Both of these jobs would have been quite difficult for me, but Dean did a great job, was a pleasure to speak with and his great work was an excellent value. Highly recommend!" – Julie Higgins
By the end of our visit, Julie had a transformed living room, showcasing her new TV setup and furniture. The satisfaction we derive from completing projects like this is what drives our passion for handymanship, as we strive to make our clients' lives easier.

Dryer Vent & Blind Upgrade Transformed!
Dryer Vent & Blind Upgrade Transformed!
At Dean Can Fix It, we take pride in our commitment to customer satisfaction and our ability to solve a variety of home improvement challenges. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Rachel Sagouspe, who reached out to us with two pressing issues: a dangerously misconfigured dryer vent and outdated living room blinds.
The Challenge: Safety and Aesthetics
Rachel's dryer vent was set up incorrectly, which was not only causing lint to blow into her closet but was also a serious fire hazard. It was crucial that we address this issue not just for comfort and convenience, but for safety, too. Alongside this, Rachel wanted to replace her old blinds, which detracted from the overall look of her living room.
Understanding the urgency, our team sprang into action.
The Transformation Process
Upon arrival, we quickly assessed the situation. The first priority was to reroute the dryer vent properly. Using our expertise, we identified the correct pathway that would not only eliminate lint from entering the closet but also enhance the dryer’s efficiency. Our process involved:
1. Disconnecting the dryer and inspecting the current vent setup.
2. Identifying the optimal route for the vent to ensure safe air circulation.
3. Reconnecting everything in the new, safer configuration.
This entire rerouting process was completed in just a couple of hours.
Next, we turned our attention to the living room blinds. We carefully removed the older blinds, ensuring no damage to the surrounding area, and replaced them with new, sturdy options Rachel had chosen. This took an hour and dramatically improved the aesthetics of her living space.
The Result: A Safer and More Beautiful Home
When the job was complete, Rachel was thrilled with the results. She noted how the new blinds not only looked beautiful but were sturdy too—offering both style and functionality. Our ability to quickly and efficiently resolve the dryer vent issue provided her with peace of mind as well.
> “Dean is efficient, friendly, and meticulous in his work. He is extremely experienced and knowledgeable as well. We had a dryer vent that was set up completely wrong and was blowing lint into our closet. Not only gross but downright dangerous. Dean was able to identify and re route the dryer properly in only a couple of hours. He also replaced our living room blinds which only took an hour. They are sturdy and look beautiful. Thanks Dean!” — Rachel Sagouspe
