Tom Baker was my contact at Driftwood Builders. I saw him doing our neighbors home inspection and asked if he could do ours. Our home is 16 years old and the roof took some damage from hail storm with a LOT of stone in the gutters. Also our back gutters were not draining properly. Tom inspected both and found a lot of dings in the shingles and a quarter size hole. This was enough to have an adjuster come out and he not only found the same damage but also some screen damage on 6 windows.
We did get three quotes - 1 was out immediately as they quoted over 2x the other 2; I asked for 2 new rain chains to be installed rather than a whole gutter re-hanging and a new roof hole and boot to be in stalled for a new water closet vent. Tom's final price was about $120 or so higher than the other company but we decided to go with Tom/Driftwood due to his willingness to assist with our insurance, pricing, reviews, and other work they had done in the area. Took about 6 weeks to get the new roof due to high volume and rain but we didn't have any active leaks so that was ok. The roof took a couple days to be finished. We have a lot of faces and is 56 square. The team was well coordinated working on a couple faces at a time. Tom was here each day to check on the work and see if we had any issues. At the end, the guys cleaned up everything and did a metal sweep and were gone without a trace other than the great looking new roof. Tom came back again and we both inspected the roof (I used to roof many years ago). Tom was not satisfied and took brown paint that matched the shingles and sprayed every white silicone dot on each visible nail on the ridges and all of the vents. I also asked him to look at the new roof hole as it did not quite match were it was supposed to be to line up with our current bathroom vent. Tom brought his saws-all and went up there and fixed it. It took a couple weeks extra to get the rain chains in stalled as his gutter guy was on vacation but when he came, he was here about an hour and both chains were installed and look/work great. I appreciate the efforts of Tom and his team, they were fast, efficient, great work, and did everything extra we had discussed. We now have a 56 square 50 yr GAF Certified hickory Architectural shingle roofing system that looks awesome.

I decided to have the roof replaced before a leak occurs. They did an excellent job! His workers are really good. I am very pleased with my new roof. Several years ago, I purchased a new home built by DR. Horton. Shingles flew off during a windstorm and I had to fight the builder to repair it because the roof was past its 1-year-warranty. A year later, it happened again. This time I was on my own, so I reached out to Driftwood Builders Roofing. A representative came out the next day and was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He instantly discovered that the installers had blown nails too far into the shingles, which is why they were not holding as well as they should. He installed a temporary patch and came back a few days later for a more thorough investigation. Instead of needing to replace the entire roof, their crew was able to replace the damaged shingles and add nails throughout the roof to better secure the shingles that were incorrectly installed by DR.
