Transforming Roofs in Manchaca, TX
At Driftwood Builders Roofing, we take immense pride in our work as roofing specialists serving the vibrant community of Manchaca, TX. Recently, we undertook a project that exemplifies our commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer service.
The Challenge: A Roof in Need
When we first met Liz Walton, she was curious about the health of her roof. In anticipation of potentially adding solar panels, Liz wanted to ensure her roof was in top shape. After gathering quotes from five different roofing contractors, Liz noticed a stark difference in our approach. While many contractors performed inspections without her presence and simply sent quotes, we made it a priority to engage directly with her.
During our initial inspection, our roofing specialist, Nathan, discovered hail damage that had not been identified by other builders. This led to an essential conclusion: Liz had a strong case for filing an insurance claim. Realizing the complexities of the process, Liz appreciated our thorough communication and the detailed breakdown Nathan provided, ensuring she understood every aspect of the necessary repairs.
> “During the first inspection with Nathan we immediately saw the difference. He sat down with us and reviewed what he found, as well as created the quote point by point.” - Liz Walton
Our Approach: From Inspection to Installation
Understanding the customer's worries and ensuring transparency is at the core of our process. We guided Liz through the insurance claims procedure, affirming her rights to a roof replacement without the need for escalation.
With her insurance matter settled, we scheduled a convenient time for the project. Our team swiftly executed the work over just a day and a half.
Key Features of Our Work:
- Hail Damage Repairs: We replaced the damaged roof sections with high-quality materials to ensure long-lasting protection against the elements.
- Insurance Collaboration: Our commitment to customer support extended to being present during the insurance adjuster's visit, simplifying the claims process for Liz.
- Added Features: At Liz’s request, we also installed gutters and chimney trim to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of her home.
The Result: A New Roof with Added Benefits
The transformation of Liz's roof not only provided her with safety and security but enhanced her home’s curb appeal. Liz expressed her satisfaction, highlighting how our team took care of her plants and maintained a clean work environment throughout the project.
> “Everything was as Nathan explained during the build process... They protected my plants and cleaned up well. We didn't have any damage at all.” - Liz Walton
At Driftwood Builders Roofing, we believe our dedication to quality service and comprehensive support sets us apart from the competition. Each project is an opportunity for us to showcase our expertise, and this transformation is no exception.

Transforming Roofs in Manchaca
At Driftwood Builders Roofing, we take great pride in our work, and nothing makes us happier than a satisfied customer. Recently, we had the opportunity to assist Byron F., a homeowner in Manchaca, who needed a roof replacement after a recent wind storm. It was our task to provide him with a solution that would not only protect his home but also enhance its aesthetic appeal.
The Challenge: A Worn and Damaged Roof
Byron reached out to us concerned about his roof, which had sustained damage from severe winds. A roof is a critical component of any home, protecting against the elements, so he was understandably cautious. He wanted a quality roofing company that could provide thorough work rather than simply the lowest bid. Furthermore, it was essential for him to find a contractor who would stand behind their work.
After reaching out to three roofing companies, Byron decided to meet with our team to discuss his options. With a reputation for quality craftsmanship in Manchaca, we were eager to show him our commitment to excellence.
Our Approach: Detailed Assessment and Quality Materials
During our initial consultation, Todd, one of our roofing specialists, conducted a comprehensive inspection of Byron's roof and discussed various options available to him.
> “Todd came out and was very straightforward about my options and what his company would do. He gave me a detailed list of materials to be used and work to be done in his initial quote.” — Byron F.
This level of detail was something that Byron highlighted as a key differentiator between us and other contractors he met. He was pleased to have clarity regarding the scope of work, which laid a strong foundation for our partnership.

3. Communication: Throughout the process, we kept Byron informed about our progress, making sure he felt involved at every step.
The Transformation: A Stunning New Roof
Upon completion of the project, we conducted a final walkthrough with Byron to ensure everything met our high standards. The results were striking — a brand-new roof that not only safeguarded his home but also enhanced its overall curb appeal.

Transforming a Roof: From Hail Damage to Stunning New Look
Transforming a Roof: From Hail Damage to Stunning New Look
At Driftwood Builders Roofing, we pride ourselves on the quality craftsmanship we deliver to the homeowners of Manchaca, TX. Recently, we had the pleasure of transforming a roof for a valued customer, Rich Peters. Rich contacted us after noticing significant hail damage to his 16-year-old roof, prompting a much-needed inspection and subsequent repair.
Before: The Challenge
Rich’s roof sustained considerable damage from a recent hailstorm that left a lot of stone in the gutters. After observing us conducting an inspection at a neighbor's house, he decided to reach out. A thorough inspection revealed not only numerous dings in the shingles but also a quarter-sized hole. Additionally, Rich had ongoing issues with improperly draining gutters that required urgent attention.
With this knowledge, he felt it was important to get a professional assessment to ensure appropriate measures were taken. We understand how critical it is for roofs to protect homes from the elements, so our team sprang into action.
Our Process: From Inspection to Replacement
The first step in our process was to conduct a detailed roof inspection. Our team, led by Tom Baker, meticulously examined every part of Rich's roof and gathered the necessary information to communicate with his insurance adjuster effectively. We provided a detailed estimate that highlighted the required repairs, which included installing new rain chains rather than a complete gutter re-hang and adding a new roof hole for a water closet vent.
Rich received several quotes, but he chose us partly because of our transparent pricing and commitment to assisting with the insurance process. We set a timeline to replace the roof, which took about six weeks due to heavy rainfall and high demand. Thankfully, Rich didn’t have any active leaks during this waiting period, alleviating the urgency and stress of the situation.
The Transformation
Once the weather cleared, our skilled roofing team began the replacement process. With 56 squares of roofing to cover, the crew worked efficiently on multiple facets of the roof at once, demonstrating exceptional coordination. Tom was present every day to ensure the work met our high standards and to address any of Rich's concerns.
Upon completion, we left Rich’s property spotless—performing a thorough clean-up and metal sweep to ensure no debris was left behind.
Rich’s new roofing system features 50-year GAF Certified hickory Architectural shingles that not only enhance the curb appeal of his home but also provide long-lasting protection.
> “I appreciate the efforts of Tom and his team, they were fast, efficient, great work, and did everything extra we had discussed. We now have a 56 square 50 yr GAF Certified hickory Architectural shingle roofing system that looks awesome.” — Rich Peters
To ensure every detail was perfect, Tom returned for a final inspection. He addressed minor aesthetics, such as covering visible silicone dots with paint that matched the shingles. Moreover, he took the initiative to adjust the alignment of the new vent, demonstrating our commitment to customer satisfaction and quality finishing touches.
After: The Result
With the project completed, Rich now enjoys a beautiful new roof that not only enhances his home’s aesthetic but provides peace of mind knowing it's structurally sound against future weather challenges. This project exemplifies our dedication to going above and beyond for our customers, ensuring their homes are not just upgraded but enhanced in protection and beauty.
Final Thoughts
At Driftwood Builders Roofing, we believe every roofing project is an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to quality and customer service.
