Transforming a Bathroom with Ease
Transforming a Bathroom with Ease
At Electric Avenue, we thrive on delivering tailored electrical solutions that elevate both the functionality and aesthetics of homes across Portland, OR. Recently, we had the pleasure of partnering with Marissa C. for a bathroom renovation project, and we're excited to share the transformation journey and the challenges we overcame to achieve a sleek and functional result.
The Challenge: Complex Install
When Marissa first contacted our team, she was in the midst of a bathroom renovation and needed a few specific updates. Her main requests included the installation of a heated towel rackâan innovative feature that enhances comfort during chilly morningsâand the addition of two new electrical outlets. While the idea was straightforward, the execution posed challenges, particularly due to the selection of a towel rack that required a complicated installation.
In Marissa's words:
> "It was hard shopping for a towel rack that had the open bar side and would be seamless in the wall without cords, so sadly we were limited in our options and this meant choosing one that had a complicated install and terrible instructions..."
To add to the complexity, there was a requirement to hardwire the towel rack instead of leaving it plugged in, which demanded additional time and expertise. Our team was determined to make this work, ensuring that the end result met Marissa's expectations while maintaining the integrity of the renovation.
Our Approach: Skilled Execution
We kicked off the project with a thorough assessment of the bathroom layout and the specific requirements for the installations. It was crucial that we approached this with precision, given the complexities mentioned.
Here are the steps our skilled electricians took:
1. Detailed Planning: Understanding the layout and the electrical needs was essential for a seamless installation.
2. Careful Drywall Cutting: We prepared to cut the drywall cautiously, ensuring that the future patch-up would be manageable and unobtrusive.
3. Hardwiring the Towel Rack: We crafted a secure and compliant setup, incorporating additional bracing behind the towel rack to provide stability and longevity.
4. Installing New Outlets: Each outlet was placed thoughtfully to enhance accessibility and functionality while adhering to safety codes.
Throughout the project, we maintained open lines of communication with Marissa, updating her on progress and ensuring her vision was coming to life.
The Outcome: Satisfaction Delivered
Upon completion, the bathroom was transformed with the newly installed heated towel rack and the functional outlets that Marissa had envisioned. Although she noted that the drywall area was a bit rough due to the necessary cuts, she understood this was part of the process, especially as the electrical work was just the first phase of her bathroom renovation.
Marissa expressed her satisfaction with our work:
> "He worked fast and we appreciated the great communication and his ability to come out for a bid the same day and then again the following day to finish the job. Price was fair... Would hire again!"
At Electric Avenue, we strive to not only meet but exceed our clients' expectations. This project showcases our dedication to quality, customer service, and thorough craftsmanship in every aspect of our work.
Conclusion
We're proud to have transformed Marissaâs bathroom into a more functional and cozy space, and we look forward to helping more homeowners in Portland achieve their renovation dreams.
