We recently engaged Fairfax Kitchen & Bath for the first time, and our experience has been outstanding. From the initial consultation to the completion of the project, Sena, our designer, and Ata, our project manager, were fantastic to work with. They provided exceptional service and ensured that we were completely satisfied every step of the way. Our kitchen renovation, including cabinets, backsplashes, and countertops, was completed ahead of schedule and saved us a significant amount of money. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the recommendation to choose Fairfax Kitchen & Bath.

Fairfax Kitchen & Bath started a remodel job for me - closet and bathroom in master bedroom - a week before Christmas 2023. It was, I guess, a fairly small job but I was still very happy with how quickly the job was completed. The work, other than custom shower glass and final county inspection, was done in under 3 weeks (about 12 actual working days). The crew, sub-contractors in my case, was great. I particularly liked that they offered to show me progress on a regular basis and see if i had any questions about anything.
This was my first time using a contractor and given my inexperience, in retrospect there are a couple minor aspects where I wish the team had initiated discussions. In my renovation I was consuming some unused space and making both the closet and bathroom wider. We went back and forth a bit on the relative width of each area and ended up with them essentially the same width. I wanted the closet wide enough to allow hanging clothes on both sides with ample space such that the aisle in the middle didnât feel cramped. And we accomplished that. However, in the end my shower ended up being fairly long. Long enough that if we had made the bathroom maybe 12â wider (taking that space from the closet), it might have been big enough for shower heads at each end, allowing a couple to comfortably shower at the same time if desired. And maybe still maintain the non-cramped aisle in the closet. To be fair I did not ever mention double shower heads and not sure I would have done it, but in retrospect kind of wish the designer had said something like âyou know, if we do x then we could do y. What do you think about that?â So just a lesson learned for me (or other first time renovators) to ask more âwhat ifâ and âwhat are other optionsâ questions.
One other small detail was the caulk used where tile met a surface in different dimensions (such as floor to shower curb) and the vertical edges in shower corners. My grout was Silverado grey but the crew used white caulk in those areas. The caulk line is pretty thin and while the white is not overly jarring, it is a brighter white than the whites in my tile so it does catch the eye a little bit. This was not something that even occurred to me to ask about before or during the job. Maybe color matching the caulk to grout is not common (although internet search shows a color matched caulk is available), but the designer and crew have lots of experience so think it is reasonable to expect them to initiate such a conversation. Making a conscious decision to match caulk and grout colors would have added that extra little percentage to the overall finishes.
Overall I am very pleased with how everything looks and the quality of the workmanship. And I certainly would consider using Fairfax Kitchen and Bath on a future project.
