The heat wave struck the Bay Area this week, and of all things, our A/C unit stops working! Isn't that how things always turn out? We were literally dying from the "oven" we call a house. I called several A/C companies, and they were all booked for weeks. I found GB Heating & Air Conditioning on the Tempstar website as an authorized dealer, and through Yelp. All the reviews I read about GB Heating, and Boris, were all extremely favorable. And, now, count me as another five star reviewer.

Boris came out immediately to our house, despite being booked in advance. He placed customer service first, especially since he knew we would be very uncomfortable with the heat wave. He went to our A/C unit and promptly diagnosed the problem as a bad fuse, which he replaced with two new ones. He commented that our original A/C installer should have replaced both the disconnect box and the fuses, instead of using the original box and fuses. I think this reflects how he wants to do things right, as well as his honesty.

I highly recommend GB Heating & Air Conditioning, and Boris in particular, if you are looking for a new installation, servicing an older unit, or advice. Boris is also friendly, cordial, and responsive. Thank you, Boris, for taking us out of our misery!

Boris was the only one that did not say NO out of 10-15 companies I called in Contra Costa area. They were all booked for another 2 weeks, and did not want to even bother to accommodate my urgent request. Boris really understands the urgent need in the heat wave we are experiencing right now - he sees people behind it, and their needs. Boris dropped by same day and managed to squeeze us in on his tight schedule. He arrived on-time and got our AC working again in 30 minutes. He's a life saver. The AC failed in the midst of a heat wave. Would use Boris again in a heartbeat for all AC needs going forward.

Boris came by today and fixed my AC in a matter of minutes. He had the right part already on his truck and charged a very fair price. I will definitely be using him for all future inspections and repairs.

I ignored my AC system until it got hot, and then it did not work! I called Boris in the morning after a long sleepless night, and he arrived at my house after lunch only a few hours after my initial call. The work required an extra trip for parts, and then some additional troubleshooting in the control wiring to undo some monkey business from someone else's previous repair. Boris got my AC working the same day I called, and my family and I will sleep much better tonight! He was friendly and polite; used booties when he had to enter the house, and went around the side gate the rest of the time. He didn't mind me hanging over his shoulder asking questions, and he explained what he was finding and correcting as he went. I got a very positive feeling from the entire interaction, and I am confident that Boris is both knowledgeable and trustworthy.

I recently had my HVAC replaced by GB Heating and A/C on a rental in Walnut Creek and am very pleased with the quality of their work and the system they gave me for the price. They got me on their books quickly and did a nice job all the way around. Over the past few years, I have used Costco's referral partner in the Sacramento area to replace my HVAC in 2 homes, but in this case, they couldn't compete with Boris and his crew. I feel I made a good choice.
