Transforming a Roof: Success Story
Transforming a Roof: Success Story
At Greater Austin Roofing, we take immense pride in our craftsmanship and service. Recently, we undertook a significant roofing project in Austin, where one of our clients, Xing S., reached out to us after experiencing leaks from their attic. Having weathered both a hail storm in August 2023 and another in May 2025, it was time for Xing to replace the roof, a crucial step that they had been delaying due to the financial implications.
The Challenge: A Roof in Distress
When we arrived at the client's home, we found a roof that had suffered severe damage, characterized by shoddy gaps and subpar joints. The urgency of the situation was evident, and the need for a comprehensive solution became our priority. Our team planned a thorough inspection to determine the best course of action—ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
Xing was particularly involved in the process, even opting to capture photographs during the project's final stages, ensuring quality was upheld from every angle. This commitment to detail illustrated not only the client's investment in the project but also reinforced our approach to transparency and collaboration.
Our Transformation Process
We prepared a detailed plan to address Xing’s roofing needs, including:
- Material Selection: We opted for high-quality Class 4 shingles, known for their durability and resistance to severe weather conditions.
- Solar Panel Removal: Special consideration was taken to safely remove solar panels to ensure the integrity of the roof was maintained during the replacement process.
- Diligent Execution: Our skilled crew worked meticulously to replace the roof, ensuring that all flashing was aligned correctly and joints were expertly caulked, addressing Xing’s concerns from the onset.
We understand that roof replacement is a significant investment, which is why we ensured every aspect of the project was executed on schedule. Our team coordinated the timeline for material delivery and removal, making certain each phase of the job was seamless.
> "I really appreciate the work done and willingness to warranty inspect after a year." — Xing S.
Post-execution, we meticulously cleaned the area, removing fallen nails and debris as per the client’s request. Our attention to detail during cleanup underscores our commitment to ensuring not just quality work, but also a pleasant experience for our clients.
The Outcome: A Secure and Stylish Roof
The results of our efforts yielded a beautifully transformed roof that not only restored safety but also enhanced the aesthetic appeal of Xing’s home. The client expressed their gratitude for the professionalism of our office staff, who helped navigate the complexities of insurance and scheduling.
Through our collaborative efforts and commitment to excellence, we successfully delivered a high-quality roofing solution that met all of Xing’s expectations.

Transforming a Roof with Style
Transforming a Roof with Style
At Greater Austin Roofing, we take great pride in transforming homes throughout Austin, TX, especially when it comes to our roofing projects. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Joan Bates, who needed to replace her roof after a devastating hailstorm that left significant damage.
The Before: A Hail-Damaged Roof
Joan reached out to us after experiencing one of the most intense hailstorms in memory, which caused extensive damage to many roofs in her neighborhood. With complications arising from scheduling around tenants and managing her own disabilities, Joan was looking for a roofing contractor who could not only deliver high-quality work but also accommodate her unique situation.
The roof was not only damaged but also unimaginative, featuring standard monochrome shingles. Joan wanted her new roof to not only be structurally sound but also boast a stylish appearance that would stand out in her neighborhood.
Our Transformation Process
Understanding the significance of this project for Joan, our team dove into the planning and execution with determination. We started with a thorough inspection of the existing structure, assessing the damage and discussing design options with Joan. Collaborating closely with her, we selected a beautiful blend of greens and terracotta colors for her new shingles, which would not only enhance the aesthetics but also provide the ideal balance between light and dark hues—minimizing heat absorption and stain visibility.
During the project, our team faced a few challenges, particularly the removal and subsequent reinstallation of solar panels. We worked diligently around this to ensure everything went smoothly while adhering to Austin’s building and solar code requirements. Joan mentioned how appreciated our detailed and clear communication was throughout the process, especially as she navigated discussions with her insurance adjuster.
The After: A Stunning New Roof
When the project was completed, Joan was overjoyed with the results. Her new roof not only repaired the damage but also significantly elevated the curb appeal of her home.
> “I love the way my new roof looks! And my neighbors love it too. Everyone has monochrome shingles but me. Mine are a wonderful mix of greens and terracotta colors—very nice,” Joan shared in her glowing review of our work.
Our commitment to quality was reflected in the high-end shingles she chose, which provided a striking yet functional design. Joan also highlighted the value of our services, especially given the complexities involved with scheduling and the solar challenges she faced.

At Greater Austin Roofing, we believe that every roofing project is an opportunity to enhance not only the safety of a home but also its beauty and uniqueness. Joan's satisfaction with her new roof reinforces our dedication to exceptional service and quality craftsmanship.

Stunning Roof Transformation in Austin!
At Greater Austin Roofing, we take immense pride in revitalizing homes with expert roofing solutions. Recently, we had the pleasure of transforming the roof of a lovely home in Austin, and we are excited to share the journey of this remarkable project.
The Challenge: Preparing for a New Roof
When we were first contacted by Joan B., she faced several challenges regarding her roof due to the severe hail damage caused by an unusual storm. The hailstones were not only sizable but also oddly shaped, leading to significant and complicated damage. Moreover, Joan had specific scheduling requirements, needing to coordinate the roofing work around her tenants and guests. Being unable to meet in person due to disabilities added another layer of complexity.
Joan expressed her anxiety about getting the roof replaced, especially since many of her neighbors had also faced damage and opted for monochrome shingles. She wanted a roof that would stand out and complement her home’s aesthetic.
Our Solution: A Beautiful Roof with Quality Shingles
Our team sprang into action! We recognized the importance of clear communication and responsiveness, so we ensured that our interactions with Joan were tailored to her needs. Daniel, our project manager, was particularly diligent in accommodating her unique scheduling constraints.
To commence the project, we carefully navigated the removal of the solar panels, which required precise planning. After the roofing was completed, we reinstalled the solar panels without any hassle, ensuring minimal disruption to Joan’s tenants.
For the shingles, we offered an extensive color selection that included a mix of greens and terracotta—a unique choice that would set Joan's roof apart from her neighbors. Using high-quality materials, we ensured that the shingles were aesthetically pleasing and functional, striking a balance between style and endurance against future storms.
The Result: A Stunning Transformation
Once the new roof was installed, the transformation was breathtaking. Joan was thrilled with the unique look of her roof and reported that her neighbors loved it as well!
> “I love the way my new roof looks! … Mine are a wonderful mix of greens and terracotta colors-very nice. The color selection was great, and the shingles themselves were very high quality,” said Joan in her glowing review.
Moreover, the new roof not only enhanced Joan’s property's curb appeal but also contributed to better heat regulation, as it was neither too light nor too dark—preventing heat absorption while avoiding visible stains.
A Value Beyond Price
Joan also highlighted the value she found in our services. Despite the complex circumstances surrounding her project, she appreciated our transparency and the guidance provided in the supplement submission to the insurance carrier for compliance with local codes.
Joan concluded her review with commendation for our exceptional service, stating, “I would definitely recommend Greater Austin Roofing for our next freakish hail storm! And they will come!”
