We worked with Bill and Green Collar to evaluate and ultimately replace our ducts and have been very pleased overall. Bill was friendly, helpful and prompt to reply to all my questions. They did a great job from start to finish, quick to give the initial eval and give me a quote and completed all the work when they told us they would. We would certainly recommend them to others.

We had Bill from Green Collar come out to re-inspect our attic. We knew that we needed more insulation among other things and requested a quote. Bill had drawn us a quick diagram of what he planned to do and delivered perfectly on the said quote. Quick and painless!
They did a quality job which of course was nice but the best of it all was their customer service. I'm very keen on how businesses treat customers from start to finish. Once I notice I'm being pushed to commit to a quote that's when I tend to back away and just move on. Never felt any of that with this transaction. As anyone should, do your own research before asking for a quote so you could tell an upsell from what you actually need.
Their crew was very professional and finished fairly quickly.
Definitely plan on having them to come out next time to get a quote for the rest of the work needed.

We were told soon after we bought our house that our ducts contained gross mold and would need to be replaced. We had multiple companies come out and give us outrageous estimates for what it was going to cost to replace them. I gave up on the whole project for a while because there was no way we were going to be able to afford it. Then I had Green Collar come out. Adam was incredibly thorough and provided us with a lengthy list of ways the company could make our house more efficient AND described how they could work with the city to get us almost $2000 in rebates. All of this work (much more comprehensive than any other company had even thought to include) came in as the lowest bid of all. They were efficient with scheduling, prompt with answering questions or returning phone calls, and everyone we dealt with was kind and professional. Adam truly went above and beyond to help us and was so polite and professional. Would recommend to anyone.

These guys did some outstanding work! Our old house only had 7" of insulation on the attic along with a $250/mo electric bill, keep in mind the house is only 1500 sq/ft. Already a day after, house is staying cooler and the new registers are helping circulate the air properly. Rob and his guys are some of the most personable guys I've met. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for insulation or A/C work!

We had an attic dust infiltration problem that has lasted 25 years in our 50 year old two story house. Adam Eastberg of Green Collar Operations spent 3 hours diagnosing the problem, and came up with a great solution, that also reduced noise in our house, and increased A/C efficiency and airflow to our bedroom. The Green Colar work team, including the handsome Brandon Colt, and friendly, commuicative Corey Johnson did a careful implentation job of a new return air duct from the bedroom, moving the air filter to the attic right before the blower, and sealing all A/C vents to the ceiling with mastic glue to keep the fast grill airflow from sucking cellulose dust from the ceiling top into our house.
This team did the best work I've ever seen an HVAC contractor do, and we've had about 5 companies work this problem. We don't know if we can stop the cellulose dust ever, but the house is much quieter, the airflow stronger, and I believe it is actually cooler already due to the increased and balanced air flow efficiency to our attic A/C cooling unit.
The price was less than I would expect for 2.5 man-days of work, parts and skilled diagnosis.

Beware of this company's fraudulent business practices. A couple of years ago, a friend recommended Green Collar to do an energy audit of the house I'd just purchased. Green Collar did three things when they came. 1. Checked the ductwork for leaks and sealed as needed, 2. Added air dams to canned recessed lights, 3. Added a duct to a bathroom that did not have one.
1. They did a reasonably good job testing and sealing the duct work, although their workers left quite a mess and I had to call them back to clean up. Since that time I've been in the attic for other repairs and found an incredible amount of garbage that their installers left up there. They simply treated the attic as a garbage heap for empty containers.
2. They recommended that air dams be installed around the canned/recessed lights because in their words "you need to keep insulation away from the light housings." This is where I have a major problem. I just had another contractor in to do some repair work and he asked why there were air dams in the attic. I told him that GC had made that recommendation and charged me for installing them. His response was "You have Halo model H7RICT which are rated for direct insulation contact. Adding air dams is not only unnecessary, it significantly decreases energy efficiency." I did a bit of research and he was right. Green Collar recommended, performed and charged for work that was not only unnecessary, but it decreases the energy efficiency of my house.
3. On the duct that was added to the bathroom--that was done, but now that I've had a chance to get in the attic and examine the work I can see that there is an excessive length of flex duct that was used. It's literally twice as long as needed and placed in an awkward position. Extra length of flex duct is another energy waster.
It's two years later that I'm finding out what kind of work Green Collar did. I was taken advantage of because I did not have the time to do research on their recommendations. Beware.
