Johnathan Guzman was very friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough while explaining our furnace options. There was no high pressure sales. He was very transparent and gave us some generous discounts as loyal customers. He kept in touch via text and helped schedule the installation very quickly.

Jesse and Victor arrived on time on Feb 20 to install a new Amana 2-stage furnace. They were personable, professional, and clean during the four-hour installation.

Jesse took the time to explain the new installation, condensation pump & air vent, on/off switch, and the easy magnetic lid for changing the filter every six months.

He also took the time to explain the new thermostat features.

I asked about air duct cleaning because it's been a few years. Jesse agreed now is a good time to do it with a brand new furnace. He gave me a rough estimate, but encouraged me to call Greenwood for exact pricing and scheduling.

We have used Greenwood Heating for 40 years for good reason - they give excellent and reliable service. Their annual maintenance has kept our furnace going for over 20 years! Their employees are knowledgeable and professional. I am so glad they have expanded to plumbing and Electrical too so I have one stop help for my household needs. They fixed my water heater yesterday!

Unit Greenwood installed can not take load required to heat house. I had Greenwood take out a 4 year old oil furnace, I decommissioned oil tank, paid $26,000.00 for new heat pump and electric furnace and when it gets cold, heat doesn’t work. House dropped below 47 degrees. Thankful no pipes burst or further damage. We will see how they resolve this. But this could cost be tens of thousands and we will not have heat until remedied. When calling in for repairs, technician came out and said it was a dirty filter. I waited 12 hours for them to show just for that. He left and we still had no heat. . I waited 12 hours the next day. I was told unit wasn’t big enough and we don’t have enough vents. Prior to Greenwood our heat worked fantastic but it was oil. I can’t go back to oil at this point as they took 4 year old furnace and scrapped it. Oil tank decommissioned. We went 4 days now going in 5 with no heat and it has been as low as 17 degrees out. Our house was 47 degrees. They were finding many excuses for not addressing the cause. Not being honest. I have yet to speak with a manager or anyone who can help at Greenwood. So far, very little accountability or concern. We will see.

Update: it took about 2 weeks, but I spoke to Yolanda at Greenwood. She was extremely helpful. I found out the size of equipment they installed was too small to heat my whole house when temperatures drop. And during hot days, my home didn’t have enough returns remove warm air from my second floor to cool my house.They had Matt come out and check the system, to see what needed to be done so we had heat and cooling.

It was an absolute mess. Yolanda gave me a proposal that didn’t give me what I paid for but immediately came back with a solution that got me both heating and cooling.

It isn’t ideal, but I am happy with how they fixed their mistake. I feel like a very unfortunate mistake didn’t get worse. They owned it and made it right.

To me this says everything. It’s unfortunate this happened. But, Mistakes happen. It’s how they handle them that truly matters.

I do think I will find a smaller company to do maintenance. I want to be sure it is done right and by someone qualified. I think Greenwood is growing and this may be a growing pain. I’m still debating this.

On a furnace that I had installed in 2021 there were billing problems, and Greenwood lost a check that I had sent to them. I had hope for better results with this furnace. Their tech had to create access for the exhaust in a chimney in my basement, you can see by the photos they didn’t bother to clean up the mess.

Canceled less than an hour before the appointment. On reschedule, the tech was new and didn’t mention that the less expensive option he suggested was far smaller than my current vents. I now have huge holes in my ceilings and the vents don’t work until I repair the drywall myself . The unit is also installed crookedly. This was not a $2.5k quality job.
