Chuck, (not his real name) did not know how to do the job he was hired to do; patch drywall. The task was to remove the blisters drywall paper, patch with spackle, sand, texturize to match ceiling, and put on a coat of primer paint. Any experienced drywall person would know to bring fast-dry spackle and a 3” - 4” wide putty knife to start. Instead he brought pink spackle that takes 4 hours to dry and a 1-1/2” wide putty knife and no texturizing material. After he thought he was finished, I was shocked to learn that he could not sand it nor paint because the spackle was still wet. And he dabbed a wet rough sponge into the spackle to make a pseudo texture that looked nothing like the ceiling. He had a befor and after photo of a previous job that could no possibly come from him. Must stole that photo from some other qualified handy-man. See after and before pics below.
