We've used other tree services in the past and were never quite satisfied. Sometimes it was the price, sometimes it was the extent or quality of work done. After reading the positive Yelp reviews, we decided to call Hill Country Tree Trimming for an estimate. Roland and Rudy promptly came to our home to look at our 40+ trees, gave recommendations for scope of work and quoted a reasonable price. They arrived the very next day along with an additional helper. We were so very pleased! They worked all day to deadwood and lift canopies, and even removed one tree. They hauled away all the debris and treated all the cuts to prevent oak wilt. The entire day they were so nice and professional. Our home now looks amazing!! We will definitely use Hill Country again and highly recommend them!

I want to highly recommend Hill Country Tree Trimming service. Our incredibly busy family have pretty much neglected our yard for several years due to heavy work load and college courses. We just don't have the time to care for our yard like we used to.

As the holidays are around the corner, our yard needed serious help. We hired Hill Country Tree Trimming Service to raise the canopy on our oak trees, pull out a TON of scraggly holly bushes/vines, clean up flower beds and around trees, mow, edge, and remove all the yard waste. Even the fallen leaves that were all over our front/back yard before they arrived.

The guys worked tirelessly all day and our yard looks PHENOMENAL. These guys went above and beyond. They were courteous, conscientious. They even removed a wasp nest by our son's bedroom window.

We are so happy with Hill Country Tree Trimming that we hired them to do our yard every two weeks. We will also come back to them in the spring for a new front/side lawn and adding trellis work to the side yard for climbing ivy. I took a before/after pic. This really doesn't do the work justice. We are THRILLED with the work.

If you want a service that does a fantastic job, hire these guys.

Due to Hurricane Harvey saturating the ground, weighing down the trees and bringing heavy winds, I had a tree uprooted and leaned against my fence and another large tree, all pointing to fall into my neighbor's yard onto their shed and septic tank covers. This was a terrifying sudden development at about 1pm today.

Also due to the storm, most tree companies weren't available to answer their calls (understandable) so I kept going down the list of highly recommended tree services in my neighborhood. Roland, from Hill Country Tree Services answered. Within literally 5 minutes they were at my door, ready to look at the situation and give me a quote.

The quote was great, but in order to save money I asked for a price with no hauling. We opted for that option.

Meanwhile my neighbor asked for the wood, which can only be burned outdoors. They threw it all over the fence and then cut it into logs and stacked it neatly for her next to her fire pit. No extra charge.

Not only that, they took the rest of the branches that were smaller and hauled it as a courtesy.

They also blew all the leaves and twigs down from the storm off of my deck and patio.

These guys were thorough, kind, fast and left everything in better shape than when they showed up. I'm beyond impressed and will 100% call them again for any tree work in the future.

I couldn't be more impressed. I highly recommend giving them a call. By 4pm they're gone and my yard is in great shape, no damage to the fence or neighbor's yard. This was an emergency and they absolutely saved the day.

It has to be a really good or really bad experience for me to write a review of a company.
This time, it is my pleasure to write about the great experience that I had with Hill Country Tree Trimming.
I chose Hill Country Tree Trimming after reading about many different companies on Yelp.
They came early this morning and gave us a bid to trim up several trees in our front & backyard. The price was very fair. They were able to start right away, which worked great for us!
I couldn't believe how quickly and efficiency they got the job done!
They cleaned up our yard above and beyond what was expected!!
It was cleaner when they left than when they started!!
They were very professional and courteous. Most of all, I could sense that they were honest, hardworking guys. That is not always easy to find.
I liked them so much, I'm hoping to have them help me with some landscaping work in our backyard!
I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future for tree trimming or landscape work that we may need done!

To answer the question about the other bids and why I didn't hire them... I did. As you said, they didn't show up. Which is why I contacted Hill Country Tree Trimming. I didn't bother to show you the other bids because I didn't think it was necessary to get a fair quote. I figured that you would provide a competitive quote without me having to try and negotiate the price right out of the gate.

After our experience with Hill Country Tree Trimming, we contacted JW Tree & Land Service. They came out the very next day to give a quote. Once he arrived, I went over all of the things that needed to be done. We agreed on the price and he had his crew come straight over the same day.

JW Tree & Land Service removed all of the hackberry trees, plus stumps, trimmed the two large trees in the backyard, and shaped up the large crepe myrtle tree off to the side of the house, trimmed all bushes away from the house, removed some dead holly bushes that were along the front and sides of the property, as well as a live holly bush that was over 10 ft tall from the corner of our home, and removed a large bush that had overgrown the secondary gate off to the other side of our garage. Total price? $950. So not only did they beat the quote given by Hill Country Tree Trimming, they actually did it AND completed a lot more work.

Funny how they were able to do it for a fair price without me having to show proof of other company's bids.

Need to have our nine trees trimmed. It has been over 18 months from its last facelift. Called numerous companies where I accepted three to quote for services of our trees. Ron and John came in reviewed the services required and submitted a quote. All three quotes were within range and one little higher than both.

The main driver was there approach and body language was very professional and humble. Positive aura portrayed by them making one feel very comfortable. The other services where one was the owner but it appears he has his crew, the other does their work but bit pricey and little confusing.

Why I selected Hill Country Tree Trimming? Like I mentioned before, it was there professional approach visiting my home and locally owned. They had a job to do this morning and can do the job if I give them the go ahead. After contemplating, I took my hand out and shake as a verbal agreement. They showed up after their morning task and was here around 11 am. Right away went to their task with true enthusiasm. I highly recommend them to my neighbors and Round Rock area.
