Matt was great, called to make sure it was okay to show up early. Clear communication about what he was going to do and what was done before he left. Always look forward to Horne HVAC to look over our HVAC unit twice a year

Horne has been awesome, from correcting an install issue, going over and above, to coming multiple times to explain how to use system. I feel very comfortable having them in my house. Matt and the whole team are the best.

The Horne preventive service maintenance far exceeds their competitors. Dimitri Yiottis contacted us and was able to show up early. Dimitri perform disassembly, and cleaning of the heating system. He explained all his efforts with pictures. Horne is not in the business of making issues up to make work or sell add-on equipment. Horne services personnel show up!

While visiting daughter's house, her two-zone system began sending heat from the first floor zone, to the second floor zone. Hence it was chilly downstairs, and roasting upstairs. I was pretty sure the motor (actuator) that controls the dampers within the duct system was the problem. The attic ductwork is accessed via a tight opening in the ceiling and I wasn't sure where the motors were within the system, so I called for the $90 diagnostic visit. The technician was very professional and arrived just a few hours later, which was amazing. I told him what I thought the problem was and it didn't take him long to confirm my suspicion. He got on his iPad and gave me a price of $1,336 to replace both actuators ($668 each - no discount because they are within 5 feet of each other and it's a super simple procedure.) I asked how much of the total was parts and he wouldn't say, merely stating "um, not a large portion of it." Fortunately, I had already enrolled in YouTube University and I knew that the swap is incredibly easy - disconnect two wires (24 volt Cat 5 wire), loosen a set screw, and pop the new one on. The hardest part was maneuvering around on the attic rafters to get to them. I ordered replacements on Amazon, and installed both within 15 minutes. The total cost of the parts was $135. I appreciate the speedy response time of the technician arrival, and would probably call them again if I ever have a need to diagnose a problem. I understand it costs money to keep a van on the road, and pay the technician salary, plus commission, but I am glad I was able to save my daughter and her husband $1,200 for 15 minutes of work!
