Transforming a Roof with Care
Transforming a Roof with Care
At Kahlo Construction & Roofing, we take pride in tackling every challenge that comes our way. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a homeowner, Hugo Z., who faced significant issues with his roof. When Hugo reached out to us, he was understandably concerned. The fascia had fallen down, and there were signs of wood rot throughout the roof. After searching for a reliable roofing contractor, he found us, and we were ready to help.
The Before: Identifying the Problem
Hugo's home, nearly 20 years old, suffered from a roof that was built with subpar materials and was reaching the end of its useful life. He contacted us, and within hours, our specialist Manuel arrived on-site to inspect the damage. During the inspection, he discovered multiple areas needing repair and highlighted that two sun tunnel skylights required urgent attention.
Hugo appreciated the thoroughness of our approach; we took the time to show him photos of the damage, so he understood the extent of the issue. During this consultation, we provided him options: repair the fascia or opt for a full roof replacement.
> “The fact that my home is almost 20 years old and the roof is reaching the end of its useful life... I decided to go for the roof replacement option," Hugo reflected on our conversation.

Hugo chose to have the roof replaced, and we immediately got to work. Here’s how our team approached the project:

The After: A New Roof That Lasts

> “Thanks Kahlo Construction for the great job that you all did! Now I will not have to worry about the roof when it rains for as long as I plan to live in it,” he expressed his gratitude.

Our client, PonchoClos, reached out to us after discovering extensive damage to their roof. The fascia had fallen down, and further inspection revealed that multiple areas of wood were rotting, affecting the integrity of the structure. With the roof nearly 20 years old and likely composed of lower-quality materials, the homeowner was understandably concerned about the longevity and reliability of their roofing system.

Our team was quick to respond. We believe in proactive communication and rapid action to ensure that our clients are not left in a state of uncertainty. After inspecting the damage thoroughly, we presented options to our client, discussing the feasibility of repairing the fascia or opting for a full roof replacement.

During the process, a minor mishap occurred where a hole was made in the ceiling; however, our commitment to customer satisfaction meant we quickly addressed the issue and had it fixed promptly.
The After: A New Lease on Life for the Roof
Upon completion, we presented the newly installed roof to PonchoClos, who was visibly relieved and thrilled with the results. Our team's careful execution ensured the homeowner now had a reliable roof that would withstand the elements for many years to come.

From Leaky to Leak-Free Roofing
From Leaky to Leak-Free Roofing
At Kahlo Construction & Roofing, we pride ourselves on our ability to tackle even the trickiest roofing challenges. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a homeowner, Nathan S., who was dealing with a persistent leak in an area that had already been repaired multiple times by other companies. With our commitment to providing effective solutions and customer satisfaction, we were determined to resolve Nathan's roofing issues once and for all.
The Challenge: A Persistent Leak
Nathan reached out to us after two separate companies had attempted to fix the leak around his back addition fireplace. The first company, who had installed the roof just five years prior, had provided a free repair for the leakage, but Nathan found their solution inadequate—they returned only to suggest additional charges after a second failed attempt. Frustrated, Nathan tried a second company, but they too failed to address the problem, leading to even more expenses without satisfactory results.
> "I felt that it should have been covered by their warranty," Nathan expressed, highlighting his disappointment with the previous services. “The most frustrating part is that it was in fact the exact area that had been worked on by both these other companies.”
The Transformation: Expert Assessment and Repair
Upon receiving Nathan's call, our team quickly arranged to assess the situation. Manuel, one of our skilled roofing experts, met with Nathan and performed a thorough inspection of the leak's origin. Our approach is always to identify the root of the issue, and in this case, it became evident that the problem stemmed from the same area that had been previously addressed by others.
Utilizing high-quality materials, we efficiently repaired the compromised sections, ensuring that this time, the solution was indeed permanent. Our team's professionalism and dedication shone through; we not only restored the integrity of Nathan’s roof but also documented the work done in detail, providing Nathan peace of mind and a sense of security for the future.
The Result: A Satisfied Customer
The results were delightful. Nathan shared his relief and satisfaction with our work:
> "I am happy to say that it hasn't leaked since. These Kahlo guys are great... Their phenomenal workmanship, professionalism, knowledge, and honesty made my home drier, safer and everyone in it more comfortable."
We strive to ensure our clients feel confident in their choice of service, and providing timely and effective solutions is at the heart of what we do.
