Transforming a Plumbing Crisis
Transforming a Plumbing Crisis
At One Source Plumbing and Rooter, we believe that exceptional service goes beyond just fixing pipes and installing fixtures; it's about creating lasting relationships with our customers and providing peace of mind in times of crisis. Recently, we had the pleasure of assisting Susan G. with her plumbing needs, and we couldnât be prouder of the service we provided.
The Challenge: A Sink Installation and Urgent Sewage Backup
Susan contacted us needing a new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal installed in her home. Like many homeowners, she was navigating the complexities of plumbing upgrades and repairs, seeking both efficiency and quality in the work. When our team arrived, we knew we had to impress, not only to meet but exceed her expectations.
Upon arriving early, our skilled technicians set to work quickly and efficiently. We installed the new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal, while also offering advice on upgrading to more durable products for future installations. Susan appreciated our proactive approach and the tips we provided.
However, just as we completed the installation, an unforeseen issue arose: Susan had a sewage backup in her downstairs bathroom affecting both the toilet and bathtub. This kind of emergency can be alarming, and we understood the urgency of the situation.
Our Solution: Quick Assessment and Fair Proposal
Without hesitation, our team rushed to diagnose the sewage backup. Our technician, Mo, immediately identified the root of the problem and proposed a practical repair solution. He detailed the steps involved and offered to schedule the repairs for the following week at a very reasonable price.
Susan was impressed with how well Mo explained the situation. To ensure she felt confident in our work, she even consulted her engineer neighbor and another plumber for their opinions on Moâs proposal, both of whom confirmed that our plan was sound and our pricing fair.
Itâs not always common in our industry to find professionals who provide transparent estimates while also being highly responsive during emergencies.
The Outcome: A Grateful Client and Ethical Service
Sadly, Susan's previous plumbing issues got complicated when her upstairs neighbor intervened, misinterpreting the situation as non-urgent. Out of respect for everyone involved, we decided to postpone the scheduled repairs to avoid any conflict. Even amidst this setback, Mo showed his commitment to excellent service by not charging Susan for the time lost or the logistics regarding the debris bin he had already delivered.
> "I had Mo and one of his crew install a sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. They arrived early, worked swiftly and efficiently and when finished gave me suggestions about more durable products I could buy the next time. I was very grateful for all -- and then, I suddenly needed them again, asap, as I had raw sewage backing up in the toilet and bathtub of my downstairs bathroom. He came out immediately, diagnosed the situation and suggested a repair... I have a lot of faith in him and respect -- and big gratitude that he didn't charge me for delivering and retrieving the bin and his cancelled jobs on my behalf." - Susan G.
We are deeply touched by Susan's kind words, and we look forward to the opportunity to work with her again when sheâs ready to tackle her plumbing needs.
