Rapid Rescue: Plumbing Emergency Fix
At One Source Plumbing and Rooter, we pride ourselves on being there when our clients need us the most—especially during emergency situations. Recently, we had the privilege of assisting a customer, Wendell L., whose kitchen suffered a severe plumbing crisis that unfolded rapidly.
The Call for Help
On an ordinary Saturday evening, Wendell encountered a major issue when a pipe beneath his kitchen sink suddenly burst, causing water to spew uncontrollably throughout his apartment. In a state of panic, he reached out to us at 5:52 PM, and we immediately recognized the urgency of the situation.
Timely Response
Within just 61 minutes, our diligent technician Mostafa, known as Mo, arrived on the scene. Wendell later shared:
> "Dealing with Mo who understood my emergency and kept me notified as to when he would arrive made it easier for me to deal with."
Our commitment to rapid response is what sets us apart. We understand the distress caused by plumbing emergencies, and being able to provide a great service in such moments is what we strive for.
The Transformation Process
Upon arrival, Mo quickly assessed the situation. He immediately took action by shutting off the water supply, preventing further damage. Recognizing the potential for substantial water damage, he promptly contacted a water damage recovery service to assist in mitigating any destruction.
The next day, Mo returned to complete repairs to the busted supply valve, restoring Wendell's kitchen to a safe and operational state. This quick turnaround allowed our customer to regain peace of mind.
The Result
Wendell was thoroughly impressed by the speed and quality of our service, stating:
> "It takes a hella awesome plumber to arrive within 45 MINUTES on a Saturday evening and save your apartment and all your valuables from getting destroyed by flooding."
Due to the exceptional service and dedication shown, Wendell's landlord was so satisfied with Mo's craftsmanship that she decided to engage our services for her own plumbing needs.

Victorian Home Repipe Success
Victorian Home Repipe Success
At One Source Plumbing and Rooter, we take immense pride in transforming our clients' homes with expert plumbing solutions. Recently, we had the pleasure of working on a repiping project for a charming Victorian home, and the results were nothing short of spectacular.
The Challenge
Our client, Brian N., reached out to us with a common but frustrating issue: outdated galvanized piping that was severely restricting water pressure and hot water supply. Having lived in his home for over 20 years, he had experienced the inconvenience of inconsistent water pressure and lukewarm water. Not only did he want a reliable plumbing system, but he also desired a solution that would enhance the aesthetics of the home. He needed reassurance on the correct process, material, and timeline.
Our Approach
Upon visiting the site for a thorough assessment, our team, led by Mo, provided clear explanations regarding the required work and the options available. We proposed a comprehensive repiping solution, which would involve replacing the old galvanized pipes with new, efficient materials and installing a state-of-the-art tankless water heater to ensure a continuous supply of hot water.
Our plan included:
- Repiping with high-quality materials: We selected pipes that not only comply with modern standards but also optimize water pressure.
- Installation of a new tankless water heater: This would significantly increase hot water availability while being energy efficient.
- Clear communication with the client: We ensured that Brian was updated throughout the process. We shared when the water would be turned off and what to expect each day.
The Transformation
The project was scheduled for two days. On the first day, Mo and the team carefully inspected the space and began the repiping. Brian was pleasantly surprised during this phase.
> “Mo and his team do great work. He came to do the estimate and were clear about what needed to be done and the options we had. We repiped our Victorian home and it was done perfectly…” - Brian N.
These newly installed pipes were not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, maintaining clean and visually appealing lines throughout the home.
By the second day, we installed the tankless water heater. Brian couldn’t have been happier. He stated, “My goodness is that thing powerful. Hot water for days!”
We meticulously connected all faucets, toilets, and tubs, running multiple tests to ensure every aspect of the plumbing was functioning flawlessly. Brian finally had the robust water pressure he has longed for, and he remarked that it was the best pressure he had experienced since buying the property.
Conclusion
This project exemplifies our commitment at One Source Plumbing and Rooter to provide durable plumbing solutions while maintaining our client’s satisfaction. By making thoughtful decisions regarding materials and installations, we’re able to provide functionality without sacrificing style.

Transforming a Plumbing Crisis
Transforming a Plumbing Crisis
At One Source Plumbing and Rooter, we believe that exceptional service goes beyond just fixing pipes and installing fixtures; it's about creating lasting relationships with our customers and providing peace of mind in times of crisis. Recently, we had the pleasure of assisting Susan G. with her plumbing needs, and we couldn’t be prouder of the service we provided.
The Challenge: A Sink Installation and Urgent Sewage Backup
Susan contacted us needing a new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal installed in her home. Like many homeowners, she was navigating the complexities of plumbing upgrades and repairs, seeking both efficiency and quality in the work. When our team arrived, we knew we had to impress, not only to meet but exceed her expectations.
Upon arriving early, our skilled technicians set to work quickly and efficiently. We installed the new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal, while also offering advice on upgrading to more durable products for future installations. Susan appreciated our proactive approach and the tips we provided.
However, just as we completed the installation, an unforeseen issue arose: Susan had a sewage backup in her downstairs bathroom affecting both the toilet and bathtub. This kind of emergency can be alarming, and we understood the urgency of the situation.
Our Solution: Quick Assessment and Fair Proposal
Without hesitation, our team rushed to diagnose the sewage backup. Our technician, Mo, immediately identified the root of the problem and proposed a practical repair solution. He detailed the steps involved and offered to schedule the repairs for the following week at a very reasonable price.
Susan was impressed with how well Mo explained the situation. To ensure she felt confident in our work, she even consulted her engineer neighbor and another plumber for their opinions on Mo’s proposal, both of whom confirmed that our plan was sound and our pricing fair.
It’s not always common in our industry to find professionals who provide transparent estimates while also being highly responsive during emergencies.
The Outcome: A Grateful Client and Ethical Service
Sadly, Susan's previous plumbing issues got complicated when her upstairs neighbor intervened, misinterpreting the situation as non-urgent. Out of respect for everyone involved, we decided to postpone the scheduled repairs to avoid any conflict. Even amidst this setback, Mo showed his commitment to excellent service by not charging Susan for the time lost or the logistics regarding the debris bin he had already delivered.
> "I had Mo and one of his crew install a sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. They arrived early, worked swiftly and efficiently and when finished gave me suggestions about more durable products I could buy the next time. I was very grateful for all -- and then, I suddenly needed them again, asap, as I had raw sewage backing up in the toilet and bathtub of my downstairs bathroom. He came out immediately, diagnosed the situation and suggested a repair... I have a lot of faith in him and respect -- and big gratitude that he didn't charge me for delivering and retrieving the bin and his cancelled jobs on my behalf." - Susan G.
We are deeply touched by Susan's kind words, and we look forward to the opportunity to work with her again when she’s ready to tackle her plumbing needs.
